Intuitive AND masterful arranger. He EARNED that thing he had on him, wish he could've accepted this, b/c he went down hurtful paths, unnecessarily. RJ got his from THE TRUTH. RJ is missed, but NOT forgotten.

I could see me and Rick James strutting up 125th st in NYC half naked..me in bra , panties and thigh high boots with blunt in my right hand...singing ghetto life and tie it up with big time...all the while he strumming that guitar...When we get in front of 125th and adam Clayton Powell blvd, he breaks out with Glow and I’m just a strutting around the pavilion serving you GLOW.....some imagination huh😆
He kind of became half joke, half legend after Chappelle show. He was an excellent singer live and in the studio. His band was amazing chops players but he will unfortunately be remembered as Rick James bitch.
