3:00 - 3:09 I'm crying right now. These lyrics struck me right in my soul. He went so hard here. How he did not get a Grammy for this section alone is a crime against humanity!
I can recommend some other hard trap songs like this: Ace Hood - Hustle Hard Chief Keef - Everyday Meek Mill - Im a Boss Rick Ross - hold me back And ESPECIALLY Niska - PSG Freestyle Aint the same lex luger shit but definetly got the same hardcore OG trap music Energy.
This is the most defining hip hop track ever. It changed it. From the clap and melody/samples. To 1/4 hi hats, 808, synths, leads, synthetic sounds. Lex Luger is one of the most important producers ever.
But don’t forget that Rick Ross is the executive producer of the track. Lex Luger must be a very talented producer to create the beat but Rick must’ve told Lex how he wants the beat ofc
And the beat feels very Rick Ross and very Miami and I can hear that Lil pump, Smokepurpp, Ski mask and a lot of other Miami/South Florida rappers have been taken inspiration from him
But I definitely agree with u but Rick Ross changed the trap and the game with his flow his style and his beats and that was how the Miami trap was created and u can hear it on the monster 808 and Miami is known to have a big bass
I can’t wait for the bmf episode to have this bumping at the climax of the series. Hopefully 50 cent and Ross came to an agreement. Even 50 had to admit this a banger and had to be in the series mando
50 won’t allow it unless meech really tells 50 and even then … don’t think it’s gonna happen … it would be nice it’s a great song … but 50 beefing wit ppl is different to other niggaz 🐐
This holds a special place in my heart. First time i heard it i went crazy. It was so different from the music at that time. 808's weren't this hard and all. Anyways, this track got from making regular ass beats to Trap Music. Shout out to Lex Luger for producing this. That's it. I'm done. Thanks for reading 😂
ni3myPL call me dumb if you want lol but I've been listening to rap all my life whether it's big, Pac, em, etc.... To me, this is just a different beat but same concept. So I'm not sure how this is any different from all the other rap songs out there.
oOdOdY 75Oo there will always be similarities between music and there will always be somebody who will stand out from others in each era...after this song, lot of producers starting copying Lex's sound.
This is the classic that paved the way for modern trap. Lex Luger is a legend for producing this beat and promoting the use of FL Studio, which led to so many other producers being inspired (Southside, TM88, Sonny Digital, Metro Boomin, and more). This is that moment in history which paved the way for Future, Chief Keef, Bobby Shmurda, Young Thug, etc. to work with a strong foundation of what is Trap music today.
B.M.F believe me foreal because I float that you slide creating friction amongst the recognize ghosts that try to capture the movement of last seen and never can compare to your chance Big Meech that it's straight to say all those who follow commons sense can see that the gift is a word and should be played with with all due respect the difference between stress and peace that you have to reach out and slap into compliance the satisfaction that only satisfies yourself when the dust clears!
