Agreed this album is pretty dope. I thought "foreclosures" got overlooked tho. The rhymes and that production from justice league was just second to none.
I loved that "one of us" track with nas. Obviously nas came out spittin knowledge and sounding great on the beat, but I really liked how nas' vocals slid into Ross' vocals. It sounded really smooth. And I thought Ross held his own. His flow was soundin nice and that beat was anthemic AF.
1) The Eagles got the job done. LET US ENJOY THAT WIN, OKAY?! IT'S BEEN A ROUGH YEAR! 2) The questionable Rick Ross line I was talking about was that one on "UOENO". 3) The song "Crocodile Python" isn't about a mutant hybrid creature hellbent on the destruction of mankind. :( 4) Here's the Black Dollar mixtape review: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-uOlC3jvQXtc.html
Da jay If people find this predictable & forgettable I completely understand that. I still like a lot of tracks on it though and this is his best work in awhile! As for the Eagles, hopefully they can get some momentum going!
+Luke James (Album Reviews) I knew I liked you for some reason..I didn't realize you were a Birds fan...YES SIR!! We back! Lets see if we can go on a little winning streak here! Keep up the good work bro...
Mike Calder Haha thanks man! It's been a tough season, but we're still in it. Just imagine - if we had even a half decent kicker we'd have another 2 or 3 wins!
Ha ha this is true...Its crazy being here in the city everyone wants to get rid of Chip its crazy. We need to stick with this guy and see what he an do to finally bring us a SB. Its coming together now if our WRs can catch consistently the possibilities are endless with us...
Mike Calder Injuries, Sturgis and dropped passes are the things that have done us in the most this season. I gotta see how the Eagles finish, but how people feel about Chip is up and down every game lol
I see you Pats fans in the comment section...stop deflating my video with your dislikes hahaha! Just kidding, it's all love. Besides, you guys will probably make it to the Super Bowl again while my Eagles are desperately fighting for a playoff spot hahaha!
Gave it a first listen, I preferred hood billionaire tbh, but hood billionaires a great album for definetely an album I can play front to back constantly, I hope he sticks to the dope boy shit content wise because that's what I want to hear as a listener, I'm not from that enviornment, so hearing about that enviornment in his music is very interesting and entertaining and with the content of dope boy shit he can cover many aspects of that lifestyle on many songs, Ross delivery, flow, and cinematic production don't ever get old, the production was definetely different on this one which is why I preferred hood billionaire a little more, keep up the reviews sir, gl to the Eagles ;) y'all are gonna need it( I'm a pats fan XD).
Haven't heard this yet but One Of Us and D.O.P.E. are dope songs and I definitely need to hear this before the end of the year, right now I've just been catching up on some releases I've missed. Just wondering if you like Hood Billionaire or Mastermind better? IMO Mastermind>Hood Billionaire
I still need to listen to mastermind front to back, war ready is already on heavy replay in my playlist in my car though haha. I liked you're blank face lp review as ,well although we felt differently, I liked blank face lp quite a bit, but oxymoron is far superior to me, oxymoron has been a classic for me, I still listen to yay yay constantly.
Streamed it and deleted it the album got nothing new same old I'm a boss blah blah blah production tight saving grace if you got one Rick Ross album you got em all
Rick Ross imo has enormous charisma and not trying at all with his rapping at the same time. I honestly think that if he tries on one of his projects to sound exciting people will show up with this next Biggie talk.
I would definately say that this album from Ross is his best in many years. Now obviously I don't like it a whole lot because I just am not into Rick Ross but I can respect when he makes a good project. on another note, have you started your top 10 list yet?
"Aye girl, lemme tell you bout this thing called fuckin'." That seems like something I would say, but I would have to make it REALLY obvious that I was jokin'.
+DihStyle69 Hey bro, you seem like a pretty avid listener of hip hop. Do you think you can check out my homie's EP? soundcloud.com/therealprophecy/sets/flight-ep His name is Prophecy & he's a rapper from Hawaii. He has a really good ear for beats.
There's an ab soul song I'm pretty sure it's called you're gone and it's the most rapey song I've ever heard he says "and since you've been good I slipped a present in that drank you dranking" also "put you in a cage and feed you grapes all day long" XD what's ur opinion on that song
+Jibreel Williams Yup. My wife bought it for $10 out of a bargain bin at Winners and I actually kinda like it - doesn't change my opinion on his music at all though hahahaha
Good review.!! but I disagree about you said about the songs color money & piece sign. Being that Rick Ross is from carol city not all songs are meant for the industry to relate to. I'm from Miami and the instrumental for color money has a sound that most of us down here grew up off of so I respect him for that. Lol and piece sign go hard .!! First of all in the verses I don't think Ross said anything about walking up to any females. I don't think anybody will do that. But if you got a girl then the song would make more sense if you think about it IJS.!
Rick Ross did another fucking Zimmerman line? >_> Dude just never fucking learn. Also, I'm seeing you are getting more views than you did in the summer. Keep working!
***** Yeah, I can tell, You've reviewed a lot of albums and projects, even more so than other hip hop reviewers. Also, you should check Gunz n Roses by Montana - and Talley of 300. That way you basically have the holy trinity for this year's Chicago projects ( with free crack 3 and BLIK that is ).
The opening track with John Legend and the track with Nas the only 2 tracks that i could vibe to idk man Ross doesn't really make great music just watered down street music no great word play no great lyrics great beats and production but his music sounds repetitive to this day my favorite all around album by him is his 1st one Port Of Miami but he has songs like Free Masons ft Hov that make you think damn Ross iight but then he give us other shit however no album was worse than Kid Cudi album SB2H that shit the worst album ive ever heard in my life
Luke do me a favor, can you stop doing these Ross album/mixtape? I know you do it for the people, but can seriously stop? It's the same thing over and over.
My best friend is an eagles fan lol, to be fair though, we're still in first and our best players will be coming back from injury. Eagles best players are on the Bills, Redskins and Chiefs (McCoy, Desean, and Maclin)
Nick Flinstone You guys are up for the SB damn near every year so yeah, that loss didn't hurt you at all - the Eagles REALLY needed that W though! I like the changes Chip has made lately. Running Sproles & Barner more helped us out and today Miles Austin was cut lol
Yeah definitely a big W to keep y'all in the playoff hunt. It took us from 1 seed to 3 seed though. But yeah I was a big believer in chip prior to this season, I think he's a good coach but it's tough to see him back for another year. No question Eagles played better than the Pats with all the drops, but the blocked punt and punt return are tough to duplicate on a week to week basis
Oh for sure. Our special teams & D were outstanding! I think Chip is a good coach, but he can definitely be better. 2 or 3 of our losses were because of our shit kicker, so I blame him for a lot of Chip's woes lol
