Whoever rapped Rick's verses did a fantastic job with the delivery. GLaDOS won it easily though with some of those bars, the "Adult Swimming in your own gene pool" was my favorite.
@@jakeshaffer3407 Punches are far more important in a rap battle than flow. Flow is nice, but it only boosts whatever punches you already have. Since GlaDOS punched way harder and more consistently, a nice flow only takes him so far. Also, GlaDOS had a solid flow. Not the best ever, but certainly not substandard.
@@megashark1013 Yea yea sure But what also matters is visuals and special edits to WOO the audience. And honestly Glads flow seemed weird and off tune.
@@jakeshaffer3407 Punches still matter more. You writing a cypher? You wanna wow the audience with neat visuals? Cool. Good in a music video or whatever. You want to release an album? You'll probably nail it. But you watch battle raps for the battling, otherwise you can just watch rap (which tends to be better in flow and presentation anyway).
One detail I really like is how Morty starts off confused and reluctant to do anything, but once Rick starts really getting into the flow he becomes more and more into the fun of it and ends up being a hype man by the end.
This is EXACTLY what I was going for!! I don’t like the idea of Morty rapping, and I couldn‘t figure out why he would choose to participate at all, so I had Rick force it on him in the second verse, having him initially be against it and afraid, taking him on an adventure while rapping, and by the end Morty gets super passionate and carried away, which reflects what happens in the show.
@@Eddiefrbyeah, if Morty was gonna rap it shoulda been him getting so into it, he just takes the mic from him - beat stops bc Rick controlled that - and Morty just blurts out a couple of HARD-HITTING lines with no flow or rhymes until Rick tells him to stop bc it sucks.
There were a lot of unconventional decisions made here, but it really served to give this battle such a unique feel and help the characters shine as their best selves. The fact that this is Bobcat's first rap role ever is insane to me, and Nicole sounded even better here than before! The multiverse hopping was super inspired and the Cyan/GamingPlushh64 combo was visual eye candy. It's quite clear to me that AvA 2023 will not be messing around one bit.

Wow. I'm just speechless. For such an odd concept, it came out beyond incredible! Rick's second verse where he travels through different rap battles is so awesome! Not only are the lines themselves great but the animation is what sells it. I kept thinking "hey I get that reference!" and it put such a big smile on my face. Fantastic work all of you!
This is honestly the most inventive and creative battle you've ever put out thus far I love the switching to various styles with Rick and Morty and Wheatley as GLADoS' hypeman is just hilarious Ultimately though GLADoS takes it for me
@@katlol8932 One of the two co-creators of Rick and Morty is Dan Harmon, and there's a couple episodes (especially in recent seasons) that lean into incest-y plotlines. GLaDOS is blaming this on Harmon - with GLaDOS insinuating that Harmon must have some sort of incest fetish with how much it comes up in episodes (blaming this on Harmon's influence on episode scripts), but that [whoever's fault this is] is weakening and harming an already declining show. Also, Adult Swim is the network that Rick and Morty airs on, "swimming in one's own gene pool" implies incest, Harmon sounds like "harmin'[g]" - and GLaDOS is implying that if things continue down this trend, things will be a bit of a yikes -Paintspot Infez Wasabi!
YOOOOOOO! That kicked ass! Definitely feel like Glados won here with that 'Adult Swim-ming in your own gene pool' line, but my favorite part was undoubtedly Rick’s second verse. Can’t wait for what you have planned next! (Also, I fucking love the ERB reference)
Honestly I can tell this took time to create the verses were so creative especially the back and forth between Glados and Wheatley and how chaotic Ricks second verse was This by far and away is the best battle I’ve seen from you guys and this is a great sign for things to come in 2023
Honestly this was long worth waiting for Blown away from both sides, I have a love for GLADOS having the Most calmest voice while Flaming it up. Still love that 2nd Rick verse

I know we're not that far in the year, yet, but this is probably my favourite battle of the year. There are so many incredible things about this, the writing carries the perfect balance of funny and hard-hitting, the animation is so fucking smooth, the impressions are incredible, and the dimension hopping segment is baller as fuck. I fucking love this battle, another fantastic piece of work from the AvA crew. 12/10, purely phenomenal.
Fr I thought there was no shot after the first verse but GLaDOS really brought it back with the second verse. Super close honestly, Rick had so much style the whole match but that second verse went so hard
Simple: several takes are done until the perfect one is found. Before that, though, voice clips are most likely brought up as reference material to how the performers should sound before the actual recording process begins.
This battle was actually insane. I loved RobotRichie’s animation part, it was super smooth. I’ve never watched Rick and Morty outside of RU-vid clips, but I was able to at least get the Portal references. Real good stuff here. (also I was in a pickle and I wasn’t in a pickle bitch was fucking hilarious)

This is an erb level rap battle. I love them going through all the different dimensions and referencing all the different rap battles. Plus the Thanos erb reference was hilarious. I think it would have been fine to reference Rick's actor being a criminal, but I understand why you didn't. Great work! I really love the animation
I think this is in many ways better than ERB. Like, ERB are trail blazers, but even in their Doctor Who rap battle they'd never made anything like that multiverse segment here. The closest is in the second NicePeter vs EpicLloyd, but here it's so much smoother and more concise.

Coming into this, I was worried it would be slightly rigged in Glados’ favor cause people would feel uncomfortable voting for Rick cause… ya know But after watching, I realize that I had nothing to be worried about, cause even with Rick’s portal technology, there’s not a single universe that he can warp to where he won this

Animation on this was absolutely stunning, love the detail of going to other rap battles (and that Uber rap battles cameo was sweet) I know this was made before the Roiland's situation but maaaaaan it would've been sweet to hear a bar regarding it. Ah well, some other time. Everyone did a fantastic job as their characters. Overall, great ass video. Can't wait to see the next one.
The references to other battles went crazy in the second verse, but RICK WENT EVEN CRAZIER and confirmed the win. Fantastic battle. props to everyone who worked on it.
Lloyd garmadon (animation) vs Luke skywalker (anything) Two main Heroes with power who's fathers was once good, but then they Turned evil and then they need to right him, eventually leading to then winning and their father's changing side to good. Also their names starts with the L. Other things: - include the double L joke (get it?) - make Lloyd animated and Luke played by the actor (live action) -make good research on both characters Mr krabs (SpongeBob squarepants,animation) vs Scrooge Mcduck (Disney comics?, anything) Scrooge debuted in a comic They very greedy, rich, and they both have three nephews Its a bit overused matchup, but still its worth doing
Glados’ best lines: “You’re not a Rick, you’re a Jerry-atric.” “You’ll enter and Rick and Morty and exit as Rigor Mortis.” “Don’t listen to Dan, because if you do, you’ll keep Adult Swimming in your own gene pool.” Rick’s best line: “That’s a threesome, never seen one in your games.” And that’s it. Plus he rhymed a word with itself twice. Glados won.
This battle was really close. Rick had the better flow, but GlaDos had the better disses. I also loved how Rick travelled through different rap battles in his verse. Very clever. I think I'm giving the win to GlaDos, though
I just noticed that Rick was dimension-hopping through other Rap Battles! First was Family Guy vs The Simpsons, then it was The Very Hungry Caterpillar vs Kirby. I don't know if the Matrix one was also a reference aside from just being the Matrix, but the next one was Shaggy vs Crazy Dave. I also love GLaDOS' reference to the line "We have no answer for Fortnite's Dopest Dancer" by putting in a Dancing Rick right next to a Dancing Thanos as a callback to ERB's Thanos vs Oppenheimer.

This is the first video of yours I've seen, but I absolutely loved it. Despite being a HUGE Rick and Morty fan, I have to admit that I think Glados won that rap
