Rick Shiels Good Good collaboration will break the Internet!! Can't wait. Looking forward to this more than the 150th and i was there 3 days out of the week. Only social media I do is RU-vid, will the meet up be announced on here? And in advance so I can pull a sickie in enough time to be there? Hoping it's at St Andrews so I can get there in 10min
LOL, I only went thru the Old Lady first time this spring and shot 74 for the first run. Ofcourse, not tournament conditions, but more windy than during the Open… This from the back tees though, but it did not look that much different from the ”pro tees”, which I checked during my round just for the sake of knowing the course.
To be completely honest, it did take me a little while to get used to the Good Good guys. Being in my mid-40s, I just didn't identify with them. However, after a little while, I really started to enjoy their content and now they are a staple of my RU-vid viewing. They seem like genuinely good guys and I am really looking forward to the collabs! It's going to be awesome.
I agree ! I’m in my late 20’s love watching those guys been following them since 2019 miss their old content was very wholesome content on their local par 3 but the guys are killing it now
I’m in my 40’s and had the same reaction at 1st. But now I watch them quite a bit. It’s genius that they have made a big business out of having fun and golfing.
When I first saw them I wondered how they could afford this endless summer lifestyle. Where do they get health insurance? Who pays for all these golf trips? Then I realized based on my calculations that they're making about 6k per video and probably clearing 500k per year.
Only in very recent times I've detected a vibe from Rick of getting a bit big headed and dropping in a fair few things about spending X on this and that when it's not needed. I'm the biggest cheerleader ever for people who've done well and don't shit on successful people at all but Rick needs to make sure he stays humble and gives off his normal average bloke vibes to avoid people turning off of him
@@nick-meets-world I think he is humble and takes the piss out of himself all the time. I think it's only recently that he has been reaping the rewards
Found y’all last year. Never been into golf but I’ve watched nearly all videos on RU-vid. Now I go golfing at least once a month with my friends and can’t wait to play and improve. Love the podcasts and can’t wait to hear more great stories and the new section “Rick’s secrets” 😂
My Mrs Litterally left in January after a 6 year relationship and a child together because “ all I think about is golf “ … she was wrong I think about beer sometimes too 🤷♂️
@@callumgrigg6075 Bryson still acts like an overgrown frat boy and I think he was definitely part of the problem but Brooks is that person who seems to find a way to suck the fun out of everything and everybody around them.
Hell yeah, I've been hoping a waiting for the Good Good collaboration with you and Peter Finch it's going to be great I'll definitely be tuned in bravo 👏
One of my favourite podcasts so far … both the lads were still buzzing after the Open. Fair play boys - keep up the good work. (PS you must do a #Break75 in Ireland some time or even a series across the country - Break75onTour!!)
Id love to watch an across country series. Maybe come to the States or head into the courses east of the UK (im from the US, so I dont know many courses so it will open my eyes to it)
Really looking forward to your collaboration with Good Good Rick! Those boys are killing it with tremendous apparel!! Don't worry about Brookes my man! He's a bell on monumental proportions!!
Cam is the first guy I’d be genuinely shocked to see going. One of the best players on the planet at the moment with millions to make on the Tour in years to come. PGA must be sh***ing themselves.
Norman said LIV is filled up after this week. Cam would be smart to join LIV asap. He has the major exemptions, LIV will probably merge with the PGAT and the future is free agency. LIV is a win/win.
I’m absolutely excited to watch the good good collab. I’ve been watching you for years, and started watching them also (mostly grant and garrets channel GM golf) and it will be certainly legendary.
wow!! Start to finish, great podcast!!! the respect for Cam Smith's win and the shots he made, the stories from inside the open and it's atmosphere, the banter... great work lads! look forward to the GG matches too! I think you guys should probably be trying to negotiate for a few shots lol
He's the kind of guy who likes to make money playing golf but hates playing golf. No passion for the game, really crap attitude towards everyone in the game. Bad for golf
@@Juskle7 totally agree with this take. He seems to have a complete distain for people who are good for golf. Only exception might be for TW. Just seems like a complete jerk and someone who is trying to suck as much out of the game while he can before trying to leave it in a worse place as a result of his existence.
As an American I was rooting for Rory. Was making the turn of my own round Saturday when I watched his bunker shot from the clubhouse. Took that inspiration and promptly shot a 46 on the back lmao. God I love/hate this game lol.
I went to the Players Championship practice round back in March, being that I’m a Florida State fan I was excited to see Brooks Koepka. What was being a great day getting to meet the top golfers in the world quickly turned around when I came face to face with Koepka, and he just ignored me when I tried to say hi. The only player that day to not be nice and speak with me. Gary Woodland witnessed it and just smiled and tapped me on the shoulder.
Cheers for taking the time to get a photo with my 11 year old son on Sunday Rick that was the highlight of his day he never shut up about it haha, he is trying to break 80 at out course, and on the Monday after meeting you he managed a 10 over 80 because he was still buzzing lol that was with doubles on 16 and 17! You are a inspiration to the younger generation aswel total legend cheers again 👍👍
Brooks definitely knows who you are and had you booted on purpose. And your mate is right, it's because he's scared of you. Brooks is famous for being an asshole, you're famous for being a stand up guy, that (almost, lol) everyone in the golf world loves. Keep up the good work!
As a Northern Irishman watching those last few holes was heart breaking. Cameron Smith is a phenomenal talent and I really pulled for him at the Masters earlier this year but he was flawless on Sunday and Rory was unfortunate that his putter ran cold on that day of all days as it has been incredible recently. He will definitely win a Major and it would be fitting if it was Augusta National next year!
He fell apart at the 2011 masters and then went to the us open and ran away with it. I hope he does the same going into the 23 Masters. He completes the career grand slam then he'll get on a run.
As a proud Australian golfer, I'm utterly blessed to see a homeland brother absolutely rip up & stamp / own a final round of the Open Championship that I'll ever see. The up and down on 17 from the position we would call "sketchy" was the biggest "owning it" moment in Australian golf. The humble honest vibe Cam stamps on golf and life is a refreshing. Typical Pom complaining about the epic thin David Boon moustache & mullet of a Greek god 🤦🤦🤦🤦 Anyhow, There isn't an Australian that is so proud of this legend 🦘❤️🇦🇺
This marks the next stage for the Good Good team - Someday, Sunflower Hills will be impossible to play due to all their fans and fame. i'm from MN and want to drive down just to say I've played that and the junior course. Amazing.
Not even remotely surprised koepka handled the situation the way he did. Not just kicking you out - 'how' he kicked you out was so rude and petty. Fairly confident Rick has more 'true' golf fans than koepka! Go Shiels!
I've said it before and I'll say it again ... I was impressed with Brooks Koepka when he was on the Challenge Tour ... he seemed like a really down to earth guy with great talent, ready for long and big career in golf ... unfortunately he turned out to be a complete show off a couple of years (and Majors) later ... big attitude next to the big wallet ... trophy wife ... and obviously thinking he's better than other people ... what a shame really ...
Agree with you 100% the podcast Pardon My Take use to have him on and he was a funny entertaining guy. However now he just seems kind of like an arrogant jerk.
And Rick has gone and done the exact same thing the night after getting me and my friend kicked out of the vic. Think he’s the one who thinks he’s better than everyone else
It felt for most of the round that as long as Viktor missed, it didn’t matter too much if Rory missed. That’s the vibe Sky gave off. Too much was made of this ‘matchplay’ between the two and by the time everyone realised that might not be the case, it was too late. On LIV golf, there’s so many elements. But the one thing I just don’t think they’ll ever have is a sense of prestige in their events. You can’t manufacture that out of thin air-that takes decades. And the 54 hold shotgun start will not help in that respect.
Excited to see the Collab videos with Good Good. I've been watching you for longer and enjoy both content but I really do like what they are doing with golf. They are showing what golf can be like. It can be extremely fun, especially when played with friends. Golf is seen as this serious semi mundane sport for a lot but they add a lot of fun to it while still keeping the etiquette of the game in tact. I hope you Enjoy recording with them and hope you are on your best game, you're gonna need it 😉
Good day Rick! Brooks is a pompous, miserable prick! He treats fans and media horribly. Other than the majors I won't watch a event if he's playing in it. Keep up the good work!
Great podcast. Videos have helped greatly with all the tips. Last week I shot net 1 under par 2 days running at Portsmouth golf course Par 69 my handicap is 28.
The Good Good guys aren't THAT young. I'm pretty sure Micah's the oldest at 27, but most of them finished at least 3 years of college before starting good good 2 years ago. So they're probably all in the 23-25 range other than Micah.
I was a long time Brooks fan, especially during his time of winning majors a few years ago. I’ve honestly lost a lot of respect for him after watching this…
Rick, I was one of your great fans who u decided to kick out that night. Getting ur ego hurt from brooks is not an excuse to turn on your own fans. Tbh you’ve lost a few good fans this week and you need to have a hard look at yourself.
Cam going to LIV doesn't make me wanna watch LIV. I don't just want to watch good talent and personality, I want to watch guys chase history. That's a key part in any sport. They aren't even playing at courses or venues with rich history. So it's just guys playing golf. I can get better content from YT like GG, Rick, Pete, etc. LIV has created a niche that no one asked for. Sucks to see him leave but if he goes, goodbye. Enjoy your money, really. Will suck to not see him at future majors since they're moving towards banning all of them from all 4.
Lol. If you seriously believe that they will actually do that then you’re crazy. Not having half of the best players in the world would destroy ratings. People know this. The LIV golfers, if the league even survives, will have a lot of power.
Let’s gooo man !!! Good good is my go to when I want to watch a match , and I have learned everything I know about golf from “ ricko” . Cant wait for these collab videos
You were fantastic with my daughter Charlotte in the MasterCard lounge she had a ball at the walk playing with Ivy etc and was super excited to meet you again, thanks for taking time for Charlotte and all the other fans as well
LIV is the best thing that could happen to golf. Not because of the organization itself, but because it gets the PGA to look in the mirror when it comes to their own issues.
You’re on the right side of the Koepka beef with Good Good coming to play. They played with Bryson about six months ago. Can’t wait for the vids to come out!!!!
if brooks did pay for the VIP area (and wasn't comped by bar) to be alone with his people, even tho it wasn't very nice rick couldn't be there, he has the right to include/exclude who he wants just like rick did.
Exactly. Super-ego Rick can't see the irony. Thing is, Brooks is an international superstar. Rick's a RU-vidr. Absolutely lapped up Rick's content when I first stumbled across it but, the more I watch of his recent stuff, the more I think he's turning into a bit of a bell end...
When Rick said, after he had dechambeau on the podcast (he was constantly ragging on him before that, as he usually does with everybody) that the win koepka had against Bryson didn't ment anything and completely devalued it (I bet my life savings he wouldn't say the same had it gone the other way around),was that nice?Even last week after Adam Scott was on "ADAM SCOTT IS MY NEW FAVOURITE GUEST ",was that nice, when Tommy Fleetwood sat all day with them and went playing on the rain for his video?I used to love Ricky's content but over the years his true self showed himself and it's not pretty, an egotistical, toxic personality that will throw anyone he knows under the bus for a couple hundred subscribers or views. He's hooking up with the gg guys now because he's scared shitless that they're coming for him, he wants info on editing,he refused to even talk about them before the massive rapid growth and when he did was in a condescending way, pretending he didn't know who micah was and claiming he could take anyone on RU-vid when he shoots 10 over on average. Look at the pettiness of renting the VIP lounge to try and get revenge on koepka, that's the level of ego we're talking about. Can't wait to watch good good breeze past him, because IT'LL HAPPEN, Ricky boy will buy valium by the truckload.
Was my first Open, went with my Dad, so very special and we could only get tickets for the Wednesday which to be honest was class. Did hear people talking about you lads, gutted I missed you. Saw Matt Fryer but didn’t stop him because he looks raging all the time 😂
I was one of those whose first ever visit to St Andrews (even Scotland as a whole) was for the Open. The 150th Open. First day. Absolutely amazing place. I got there at 5.30am and left at 9.30pm and I still wanted more. Unbelievably lucky to have got a ticket. Absolutely worth the 900-mile round trip in the car.
I was on the West Sands Beach with my two Border Collies when Rory holed that bunker shot on 10, listening on the radio with a 5 second delay lol I'll never forget that roar. Tremendous!
