You can tell Rick has had facial surgery. I saw him in concert back in 1998 I think. He sounded great and put on a big show. I had front row seating. He gave a great performance. In this video, you can tell his features have changed, but hopefully it hasn’t affected his voice.

Richard Marx did a lot of stuff even before his first album came out in 1987. As a background singer and songwriter. He sang backup on albums by Lionel Richie, Dolly Parton, Chcago, Peabo Bryson & Madonna to name a few.. As a songwriter he wrote stuff that Kenny Rogers and Kim Carnes recorded, all before his first album in 1987. =)

Twitter ruined Richard for me sadly. I was a fan from the start with his first album and travelled a lot to see him in later years. It wasn’t the opinions on Twitter, but rather so much anger and negativity. Just made me sad and kind of ruined it all for me. 😢

Saw Rick at the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills. He came out and hi fived the audience during the song Human Touch. Great show.

Growing up in Australia and being a drummer since I was very young who also enjoys dabbling in singing, Rick Springfield and Richard Marx were two of my favourite singers, and to this day they still are. Spewin' they're not touring Australia. The only thing that could make their gigs out of this world would be to include Rick Price and Kelly Clarkson. As it stands, these gigs are going to be awesome I'm sure.
