Sammy Hagar Performs "Jessie's Girl" with Rick Springfield | Rock & Roll Road Trip 

Rick and Sammy are long time friends. Sammy even made him a partner in his rum company. They both now own Beach Bar Rum

Sammy wrote and recorded "I've Done Everything For You" but it was a much bigger hit for Rick when he did a cover of it. Sammy asked Rick why his version was such a big hit when his flopped. Rick said it was because he's better looking than Sammy. They had a good laugh over that one.

Yeah, Rick is underappreciated, but he wrote a lot of good songs.

Yes Sammy's a musicians musician. He loves music, performing, and ppl. Rick is one of the greats!! Sharing himself with the public is a plus all around. And I just plain love pretty much everything I've heard Rick do!

I saw Sammy live in the mid 80s right after Rick hit it big with it. I think he had a sore spot about the success of it from Rick!! He played the opening and stopped!

Not sure exact year..but it was a super show! We listened to your stuff in car on the way home..with stars and excitement in our eyes! Lol I understand you were a first pick to play Keith Partridge back in the day..just dis overed that recently..i can see why ! You would have been perfect. Im sorry show was canceled. I have always love PFamily & DC too. You both are fantastic in your own way. I have been a performer / actress my wjole life. I wonder if he's ever calculated how many times he's actually sang this song, got to be thousands upon thousands. He's toured so much & for so long has to be a lot. I've seen him in concert several times , always put on a great show.

Even some of his later stuff was pretty good.... Shock, Denial, Anger, Acceptance in 2004 is really good and shows a different side to his music.
