Unity was def in the wrong for walking out on Rick the way she did. However, Rick definitely could’ve at least answered one of her calls. I mean it’s clear she didn’t contact him for a long time, but if she’s calling after all that time, seems to me a lot of unnecessary hardship and awkwardness could have been avoided

Feel like they're just a good couple but just like some people out there, they're toxic for each other. Unity needs stability and concentration for her to function well and Rick is a man full of emotions. Either one will have to give up being themselves to appease the other.

Folks missing the point of the story I see. The thing is both of them have right and wrong in their motivations, it's not a black and white binary here. Rick went from encouraging healthy relaxation (which is basically the extent of Rick's "being right" in this scenario) to unhealthy indulgence, you see this shift when he stops caring about Summer and Morty and tries to send them home so they're "out of the way." Unity recognizes this eventually, which is why she leaves, she realizes that Rick's still volatile and dangerous for both of them. She handled it in a poor way that did a lot of damage, but the end result was for their mutual benefit. It was Rick's continued self destructive tendencies soloing in on Rick Prime that not only got Unity's attention, but caused him to ignore her messages. She did the right thing by reaching out an olive branch. Maybe she was a bit out of line assimilating Virginia, but that was basically her way of showing up at Rick's door to do a wellness check. You even see it on Rick's face at the end when she says she's "stopping by Virginia," because yeah, all he had to do was check his messages, and all of that trouble with Curtis and the pain he caused Unity by making her release hundreds of millions (something he clearly seems to lament when trying to help her up) could have been avoided. You see that realization and regret in an instant, and it's been very clear that Rick has been VERY bad with relationships of any kind through all 7 seasons, but he is getting better and able to realize his mistakes a lot easier than before.

Morty: If you think romances are weird, then haven't seem that my grandpa's is a parasitic hivemind that posses mutiple hosts!

The writers are getting kind of bluepilled and have been for a while. Rick did nothing wrong with ignoring Unity. The fact they'd let the character with some type of "authority," the therapist, say he was wrong was really womanly and wrong. Oxymoron I know.

what is it about all these shows saturated in sexist tropes? is that intentional? unconscious? rufied episodes? femen rufies?

Unity is toxic. Rick do his best and even after that the only thing he got from her was rejection... Again. Unity is just toxic and, well, being a living hive mind who takes hostage of millions of innocent people (despite that a few of them are crazy like the blue people) it's not exactly a model of Sanity. And even if you put aside that, they could make their relationship work, but she was, is and will be selfish (Maybe because this is her nature). I'm pissed that the show tried to portray Unity as "the Mature one" and Rick as the "selfish one" because they are not, Unity is hypocrite and she feels entitled of Rick's affection (even after abandon him) and make Rick try to understand her feelings but she doesn't make an effort to understand his back. And don't get me wrong, Rick was quite immature, and god knows his ego is as big as the central finite curve. He has a lot of problems to deal with, that's not negociable, but he just did the healthiest: moved on. And if he doesn't wanted to talk in that moment with Unity, it was his right to do it because not only she dumped him and ghost him (clearly ignore him) for longer time (because some how she found out what was happening witt Rick) but also allowed her new "Partner" threatened him (obviously the partner is not even counter for Rick but if you portray this in real life, that's basically what she did). I'm with Rick this time, not only because he tried to make things work (or at least calm the waters) and also helped the Virginian people to release them from the control of the needy attention who_re the president is, but also because she could (or have) ruined the work that Dr. Wong made to help Rick open his heart and express his feelings better. And this is more personal but i even feel bad for Rick, he did his best, he opened his heart and what he got was cold-heart rejection, she didn't even look at him, not even a glance, and the last one of Rick, his face full of disappointment and abandonment got me for a moment, she ignore him (again) and if this wasn't an animated Sci-fi comedy or maybe with real people there would be a lot more people who stay with Rick in this case, because is not exaggerated, it's not fake, you can comprehend Rick and even understand why he behaves like that., why can't he open his heart. And i know that the psychological process has his lows and flows and that you're not gonna get rewarded for the progress you made all the time because that's not how life works, but I'd prefer to get through with my process in calm with my loved ones that help me and care about me and make feel better rather with the ones who say "care about me" but only make me feel worse with thier actions. Sorry for the Bible, this topics are interesting to me though. Also the Yt comment section it's a great tool to help not forget my English haha.

The new voice actors are not bad by any means but it just doesn't feel special anymore without the original, you can just tell how amazing the experience was for the soul of the series

Rick and Morty do not exist any more. It was killed between 6th and 7th seasons due to baseless allegations Ill not support this sort of disgusting behavior, or any show making excuses for it.
