The vat of acid works if someone is there to shoo them away but if there is no one people just start questioning their existence to make sense of the death
I mean, it’s instant death. A huge deterrent as Rick said before. So for two people to genuinely think burning instantly in a vat of acid is better than what you’d do to them; if it was me, I’d do the same thing 😂
@@smaggerbullet1245it wasn't Jessica in this episode, he met someone else while messing with the time saving remote thing and had a whole relationship with her and tragic adventure where a plane crashed and they almost died and he accidentally pushed the button on the remote to back before he had met her. Then Rick revealed the sick way the remote worked and how he had actually done everything during that time, and they merged all the things he did to this realm or whatever, which led to this.
If Morty really date this girl and planetina he grew a lot romantically speaking. Which is why I'm sure they'll never bring them again. You know what scratch that. With all the Roland fiasco maybe it will make sense to allow the characters to grow and keep it going as much as they can.
@@net343 Not really? I mean, yeah, Jerry ruined everything. But Morty should’ve hit the save button months after they started dating. Morty’s an idiot.
The first time i saw this i didnt recognize her and after rewatching this the other week and seeing her it made this episode even sadder knowing rick once again this episode got in the way of mortys happyness.
@@tillyfoxes8778it was the same fucking episode how didn't this dude remember it was the same girl that morty had a whole montage over not 6 minutes prior.
I'm honestly still pissed to this day that they just made Morty's gf from this episode a 1 off and didn't bring her back. I honestly think Morty needs that personal growth
Don't you remember Rick's speech at the end of episode 3.1? "Season -- Nine more seasons, Morty. Nine more seasons until I get that dipping Szechuan sauce. For 97 more years, Morty! I want that McNugget sauce, Morty!" So there's plenty of time to bring her back.
I feel bad for his girlfriend. Yeah Morty screwed everyone else over. But he treated her well. I honestly believe that she would've forgiven and stayed with him.
I just snorted my drink out my nose when she started quoting Portia from Merchant of Venice…I literally had to memorize that whole freaking monologue in high school for my English class and now I can’t stop hearing it from literally everywhere 😂
Imagine if the vat of acid trick actually didn't work. They start questioning why it was on his front lawn and why there is a conveniently placed ladder next to it. If he's going to kill himself, why acid, that's like the most painful way to die.
I’m really surprised Rick let the girlfriend run away- he knew everything that happened since he was watching. Morty was well and truly happy and Rick let that happiness get away. Why? Selfish? Jealous? Angry? Or maybe scared that morty would lose it the same way he did? I really do not know.
Or make morty himself immune to acid, but fake acid is way more fun, plus changing something from the first vat of acid would hurt rick ego since it would basically say that his original plan was a bad idea
rick originally made a fake vat of acid and morty hated on it. so the comeuppance had to come in morty use a vat of acid that was in no way a deviation from the first run around.
@@Vertigoi311 oh yeah I know I see the other phone I'm just curious why rec didn't make both acids not be able to hurt them but anything else that went into it would like that rat that gets thrown in
The problem here isnt the vat, the problem is that it's such a traumatic thing to see that it makes the people watching it question/appreciate life and spend the next hour talking
If you don’t understand it, the vat of acid was full of Gatorade and had a trap door of bones at the bottom with a tube of oxygen so it’s basically fake acid.
"The quality of Mercy is not strained..." I performed the monologue from The Merchant of Venice in high school. Love me some Rick Morty and Shakespeare in that order 😅
Morty’s trauma is so overlooked on this show and treated as a joke, while Rick’s gets taken seriously. I honestly hope they touch up on his story more.
I can't believe they made ANOTHER reference to the vat in season 7. Literally one of the best bits ever. And the fact that they basically ADMIT it's a bit makes it even funnier😂
The funny thing is the Vat plan almost blew up in Rick’s face again like it did in the beginning of this episode. The entire reason why the plan sucks is because it’s so horrifying that the person your trying to trick can’t help but stop and reflect on what just happened. The same thing just happened again, except Rick was there to shoo them away. But if he had not been there those people probably would have been there for hours just like the criminals in the beginning. Once again, proving Morty’s point. Little details like that is why this show is my favorite. It’s a shame about the creator but hey, life goes on and there’s no point not supporting the current writers that actually worked on the show. Can’t wait for the rest of the new season!
For those who doesn't know it isn't actually acid it's sprite or mountain dew I can't remember and that isn't even his reality rick chose a different reality before making the device so the original reality wouldn't get screwed up
Rick couldn't admit the vat of fake acid was stupid so punished Morty for pointing out how stupid it was. Yeah, that would make anyone evil, especially after losing a genuine relationship because of it.
