This is my show and tell "first impressions" video ... showcasing my new Rickshaw/Nock Sinclair-R in Purple Splatter ... this is a Rickshaw/Nock collaboration pen case! I ordered mine with $40 of channel ad revenue! This is the Purple Splatter artist: @violet_titration

In the video, I show you the case and the features + we compare it to the original Nock Sinclair and also do a side by side comparison with the Rickshaw Coozy case. Also, I show you how it fills using my 8 September pens plus one 2-pen coozie.

Hi Mark!!! It's just so exciting to me that the Sinclair pen case lives on in this new model which I love every bit as much as the original. :) So many possibilities of how to carry pens and things too!!!! I've yet to find out how many of my pens I can stuff in it but I know it's more than 8. :)

I’m so glad you made a video about the Sinclair -R. I was so happy to hear there was a nock co/rickshaw pen pouch being released. It sure does look really nice, esp. with the purple plush interior! I think the price is decent, too. Im also, happy you did both comparisons with the nock co Sinclair AND the rickshaw coozy case! I’m still having fun debating which color to get.

I’m a bag nerd and I think I’m going to have to order that. It looks like it would fit a 4”x6” sketchbook plus pens, a little watercolor kit and travel brush. I really like my present Nock Sinclair that I’ve had for a while.

Hi James -- I have also been eyeing their GP1 Gear Pouch - it sure looks nice and opens (zips) flat. But the Sinclair was the one I wanted to get first. :)

OMG!!!! I can't believe it! I got out of the hobby for a couple years and when I went back into it, I discovered that the Nock Co Sinclair is the perfect case for me BUT at the same time, I also discovered that they were not in business anymore!!! :( I always liked Rickshaw products but they had nothing like the Sinclair (may be the coozy case but I always found it too big and no "dividers"), so I am very very happy for this collaboration! I will buy a couple for sure!!!

One thing I love is since they are made to order there is not a hurry. The special price was/is a bonus ... not sure how long they will continue that but knowing they are not limited edition is such a plus.

I'm so glad Nock Co were willing to collab with Rickshaw bagworks with this design. Hopefully they'll share their Brasstown design with Rickshaw, too! I'll have to start saving now, regardless...

You and i seem to have the same tastes. I have the Teal and Grey sinclare from Nock. and now that you have shown the purple splatter sinclair-r its a must have. I liked the looks of the sinclair-r but the colors were just ok. BUT THE PURPLE SPLATTER! I also have the raven/blue brasstown from Nock, but i reach for my sinclare the most. 8 pens in mine with a currently inked notebook :) thanks for sharing Chris, on my way to the website to order mine. thx for the tip for special order.

The Nock Co. Sinclair is my favorite pen case, so I was sad that they were no longer being made. When Brad of Nock announced the collaboration with Rickshaw Bagworks for an updated Sinclair case, I think I shouted 'Yes!' out loud. Heh. I'm waiting for the shipping notification on the two Sinclair-R I ordered, plus some other stuff. 😊

I had been eying another case they just launched which I still like but I know how much I use the Sinclair and how I wanted an orange Sinclair and then I saw the Purple Splatter ... lol ... good thing their items are usually available and made to order so we don't have to suffer the limited edition trauma. LOL

So it’s bigger than the Nock! I have a Nock, and use a Franklin Christoph 3 pen holder in it, I can fit around 10 pens, if I use the side pocket too. But I like the Rickshaw Nock hybrid, especially because it’s a little bigger. Hardest thing is to choose which design.

It's great to see the Sinclair R. I love my Nock Sinclairs but am happy to have this new option with the plush interior and the outside pocket. I have one on the way to me now. I went with the Inktopus Ghost because it will.coordinate with some other Rickshaw items I have, but I couldn't resist the Purple Splatter so I got that in a 6-pen Coozy roll. I'm hoping they remake the Tallulah someday!

Hi Marilyn -- I'm hoping for a Tallulah remake too ... I should write and make sure I think that the right side pocket should be a bit deeper ... just a little. Oh your Inktopus Ghost will be amazing -- I almost went with the yellow Inktopus but the purple splatter was irresistible and I could get just one for now. LOL

@@ChrisSaenz13 Maybe. ..I use the pocket side of the Tallulah for a tiny notebook and business cards, so I hope they don't make that pocket tall enough to hold pens only. There's got to be something in the line that's not meant to be stuffed with pens, and for me the Tallulah is perfect for minimalist carry. 😊

Hi Kykynest YF -- oh that was one of the Sinclair R designs that I was tempted by ... then I realized I have the yellow inktupus on a journal pouch, Coozy case and a pen roll so I really wanted to try the Purple Spatter! :) But the vast color choices really made me think. LOL So glad to hear you love yours! They make things beautiful and rugged for sure!

Hi Casey! :) Oh that's exciting!!! In the future I want to order an orange one with an orange lettering/tag and I'm still thinking of the interior color -- since I believe the customization will come online sometime. The Sinclairs are my most used pen cases.

Hi Melinda -- yes it's Purple Splatter designed by @violet_titration ... it's quite a joy to look at!!!! I think eventually they will have the fully customizable tool for color choice and they'll keep adding color/designs. That's one thing I love about Rickshaw's products - since they make to order it's not like we're going to miss out. I was in a hurry to get one and just lucky to have channel ad money. :)

Thanks for doing this video! I didn’t end up ordering because they didn’t offer the fabric I wanted. But now that you said their regular cozy accommodates an A6 notebook, I’m wondering if I should just get that.

Hi Ramona -- I do understand that more color options will be added later and customization (on the Sinclair). Choosing stuff from them is torture because I want it all. But then I typically only fill 2 or 3 pen cases at a time 2 normally ... outgoing month and current month of inked pens as I'm finishing fills + my little Nock Tallulah for bullet journaling. So, I need to check myself and the idea of getting SO MANY colors. LOL

At the SF show I picked up a 6-pen hard/stiff case (Franklin-Christoph). At home, I'm happy with pens stuck in mugs. When travelling, I'm just not confident that soft cases provide enough protection. What if I sit on it?

It's padded with a thin layer of closed-cell foam front and back, as well as the plush lining.

Hi Teresa -- oh I'm sorry -- once you get there you click "special" then "add to cart" then "proceed to checkout" you will fill in some stuff about address, and your payment ... as you go watch for a place where it says either "notes" or "special instructions" it will come up before you finalize your order. If all else fails - email them Mark is very responsive to email and can help you but it's pretty easy you just fill in the color you want they list the ones available mine is Purple Splash. Also, now they mention you can fill in the outer, the tag and the inner color choice to order a custom one. There is a "read more" section that I clicked on next to the Sinclair information and it gave a whole bunch of helpful info. Hope this helps.
