When you were comparing the Nautilus to the Schuylkill I was reminded about something I read on a pen forum. there are a lot pens that are great writers that are economical like a Preppy, but more expensive doesn’t necessarily mean a pen is a better writer. At the higher price points you are paying for looks, better materials, and more ergonomically friendly pens.

Definitely! That’s why I consider Schuylkill a very good value, not only the nib is essentially the same as the higher end pens in Nahvalur’s line-up, but the depth and quality of the resin is also very good.

I love your collection. I think it’s quite reasonable and thoughtful. Yes, I would love to see you unbox your new pens. I also have the Nahvalur Nautilus Lavender Dreams and loving it as well. I’ve been on a Nahvalur frenzy of late.

Yes. I would love to see you unbox and write with Leonardo. You and I started our fountain pen journey at the same time. I just purchased my first gold nib, Pilot Vanishing Point. I too want a Leonardo, I need to save for it. Rachelle in Seattle

it was so nice to meet you and hear a bit about your pens :) i received my pilot 742, platinum 3776, and sailor 1911s in the mail about a week ago (all purchased used). I am excited to hear what you think about them and which nibs you got!

Oh my. If you think you have too many fountain pens, I'm really in trouble! I have worked my way up from "I would never pay $20 for a fountain pen! That's outrageous!!" to "$200 is such an amazing deal for a Urushi pen! It's really very reasonable." through many pens in a very short period of time. Ha ha. Best of luck with your new pens when they arrive!
