The thing with Ricky is that he's in the In crowd, he's mates and works with those in Hollywood and the Golden Globes like him because he brings in the views. But because he's British and still removed from the Hollywood scene, he can say all these things knowing its the truth without worrying about his career - his career is already made and doesn't need Hollywood's approval, but he can still get gigs like this to rip Hollywood apart

The Brad Pitt -Weinstein incident was in the late 90s when he was with Gwyneth Paltrow. There’s also a story from the same period where an actress went to Ben Affleck and told him something happened and he got pissed and said something like “dammit we talked to him (Weinstein) about doing this.”

In the 1970's we had a TV show "Dean Martin's Celebrity Roast" , it was a weekly show and it was funny. They roasted Frank Sinatra, Lucille Ball, Jimmy Stewart and so many more. It was a good show.

Y'all should react to Ricky at the Golden Globes from previous years. When you hear his jokes, that's the reason for the anxious and nervous looks on people's faces, he really roasted them and the powerful think they are above it. I ended up here at this channel and this particular video because as you all most certainly know that the infamous "RU-vid rabbit hole" has the ability to take you literally anywhere. In saying that I am a full blown Aussie and I bloody love Ricky Gervais in his entirety but this is hands down his best work. Seeing and listening to you three lads react to it all only cements in my mind that you Poms and us Aussies are so damn similar I always consider poms to be the Aussie cousins because we all not only love our beer, our shits and gigs but we all most importantly have the exact same sense of humour and outlook on life. You now have 1 more subscriber gents. Loved the vid and shall now binge the rest 😀

Thank you for the reaction. I don't normally watch anything to do with Hollywood, even remote stuff like this. But, gave this a chance today and enjoyed it. Good to see that some of those people are still down to earth enough to take a joke. For the stodgy ones who were offended by the truth being dumped in their laps, it served them right. I can't stand people who think they are above, or better than, someone else. Good for Ricky. That crowd deserves a healthy dose of reality followed by a stfu every once and a while.

Ronan Farrow (joke somewhere in the beginning) is the son of Mia Farrow and Woody Allen (who the camera panned to during the joke). Ronan Farrow is a journalist who denounced Woody's and Mia's adopted teenage daughter relationship.(Ronan's sister basically who later became his Stepmom after marrying Woody). Very very messed up situation. Ronan Farrow is also the one who broke the story on Weinstein and said will give the names of all those involved.

Hi, American here. I’ve gone through many decades as an adult in Los Angeles and never bothered to watch this particular award show. In 2020, I watched THIS award show FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER. I switched it off as soon as he was done with his monologue. I watched the rest online (and skipped through everything except his part).

I really wish I could get you guys to check out some Comedy Central Roasts. They actually make these types of "highlight videos" that show the best of the roasts and it would make my day if for one something i actually comment would get watched for once and two just because I know you guys would love them. Look up Harshest Roasts of Justin Bieber, especially the Pete Davidson part, it's brutally funny, and Andy Samburg basically pulled a Norm Mcdonald haha.

2:50 Nikki Glaser is a very talented comedian and a very talented roaster and I am very much a fan of hers. But Jeff Ross(known as the roast master general) and Greg Geraldo(RIP) are the two GOATs of roasting, IMO.
