This is a video from 2004 featuring Ricky Gervais as David Brent. It was used by Currys (Dixon Group plc) as an introduction and ending to a 'Image Studio v.2: Product Knowledge - Photography and Camcorder Qualified' interactive CD-ROM.
I haven't seen this anyway else, so I am guessing this has been rarely seen, unless you worked for Currys in 2004.

I love this early Gervais stuff from the days when he didn't realise how rich and successful he was going to be so he was basically doing anything that paid or raised his profile. The Charity boxing match is another one of my favourites lol

I used to work for Dixons & Currys, absolutely hated it. I was working in the stockroom though, so at least i didn't have to deal with customers. except when the shop was busy, which it always was, so i was often called down to sit on the tills, when i was meant to be working through deliveries..

Early 2000’s , the technology seems so outdated already…. I mean it is out dated but the time just flew…21 years since this was made…. At 18-19 I wanted a computer like that 😁couldn’t afford it

I was about your age at this time too and this was pretty cutting edge stuff. Digital cameras weren’t new, but they were still quite clunky and expensive. Webcams were a bit of a novelty, and CD-ROM editing software was still king. It’s funny, because I don’t look back too fondly on this stage in average home photography and software technology. It was the ‘growing pain’ years. The ideas were there, but the technology hadn’t caught up yet. Things are much more refined now!

Long shot. Don't know if it's from a deleted scene or in the show. Brent is telling someone about where he bought his tie. 'two for one off some fella he knows' or something along those line. Any help appreciated. I'm pretty sure it wasn't a dream I had.
