O line would have held more importance lol. This gives you at least keeps offnese afloat of aiyuk dosnt sign. Its roster building. Cb was a need for elite, but you have elite front. So okay secondary is easier then having no crisp route runner on a KS offense. We all know aiyuk is wr1, cmc is rb 1 and deebo is somwhere between those 2 guys. Aiyuk is harder to fill then deebo when you have cmc @Joshua-ht7ll
A lot of 49ers fans didn’t like the Aiyuk pick. They even turned on him when he was in Kyle’s doghouse. Is Ricky gonna be Aiyuk or Deebo? We don’t know. To me, it’s not a pick that moved the needle. I wanted Cooper DeJean since he was still available. Good luck to Pearsall.

More so I think it’s a good move to cover down when…not if but when Deebo gets hurt. He’s been so unfortunately injury prone and we can’t afford it. We gotta get it done this year!!! Too many high profile players we simply won’t be able to afford in the next 1-2 yrs.

Regarding OL, the best opportunities to draft a rookie who could play may have been interior line. That is a tough place to spend a first round pick. The player selected at WR is a potential to draw a good number of targets as a slot receiver...something that didn't happen last season. A good short & midrange receiver will aid pass protection. With hindsight would we like Pacua on the 49ers? Also, is Pearsall now the WR the best 40 time on the team? This pick looks good for 2024, also sets up options for 2025, and they have 5 years of cost control at a key position. I don't see the downside.

Kingsley Suamataia is still there as well as Rosengarten. Got both of them on my draft board so maybe we get one of them. Also got Mason McCormick for a guard still available which would be a good pick as well. Hoping we package a couple 4th round picks and move up in the 2nd.

Hear me out: BA had a positive reaction to this pick while Deebo at the same time did not & deleted his story about him being traded. It’s obvious that Deebo is the odd guy out. It wouldn’t make sense to move on from BA at all when he’s had more effort than Deebo.
Regardless of what happens with Deebo or Aiyuk, Slick Rick has the ability to be the next Cooper Kupp. The kid is going to be a stud. Amazing hands at route Runner and can play all over the field.

I believe in these two I truly do. They’ve built an incredibly well rounded team for the past 5-6 years and have always been competitive. However- it REALLY bothers me that they seem to undervalue the DB’s! Aside from signing Mooney Ward- we just don’t seem to place value on DB’s and that seems crazy to me especially given our GM is one of the best to ever do it. I trust the process I just wish we could sign another top DB guy. It’s been a glaring weakness for years now !
Well, we just hope the magic of Pearsall and Purdy will click effectively on game days. Purdy needs a new weapon for deep threats and this new kid will definitely deliver the result as the season is in progress.
I was hoping for a right tackle that can catch the ball so instead of a two tight end set they could go to a six linemen with right eligible at the beginning of the game and so you never know but have much better blocking than just another tight end. They needed this in the Super Bowl last year even thought it was a fifty fifty who would win in overtime when the niners scored first.

Man we've needed a cornerback for like 10 years and the lack of a def secondary is a major factor in SB loses. The D-Line is depleted. WR was a team strength. I really hope Lynch proves me wrong but this is very odd pick imo.

I kinda feel the same way. Like this guy played with Aiyuk so it's kind of a peace offering perhaps. 👀 Also, he's also a Yac guy and hard blocker and lots of effort. Something deebo has been lacking lately. I'd love to be able to keep Deebo another season at least and trade him next year when his contract hits hard, but if they think the move is to do it now, picking up another tough as nails receiver is a good move.

- Could've gotten a great CB (DeJean or McKinstry) - Could've gotten a higher-rated WR (Mitchell or McConkey) - Could've traded back and gotten this guy 10 picks later. I'm not mad that this wasn't an O-lineman - all the 1st-round-worthy ones were long gone, and plenty of the remaining good ones will be there in the 2nd. But I'm scratching my head a bit about this pick - NO ONE had Pearsall going in the 1st round, and there were about 4 other WRs still on the board above him.
