📸 Dear Micael, thank you very much for sharing your passion and experiences again. I never used it but i think it is a really cool camera indeed. If i would own that camera i would not just put it in my jeans pocket because of the “dust bunnies” in our pockets. Since you can’t clean this camera inside i would put a small dust free pouch in my pocket first and than put the camera in that pouch. Also beware that when you turn the camera on it can suck dust into the camera between the lens and the body. Purchased this when it was first released and the ring fell off on my first outing with it. Luckily I found the ring and went straight to a shop and obtained some Gaffa tape (similar to Tough and Gorilla tapes) . Attached a very small piece (20 x 10 mm) to the bottom part of the ring where it meets the body and I've not had an issue with it since. Great camera and loved your video of it

I’ve been using this camera for over 5 months now and i have to say that it is worth every penny! The image quality and stabilize is crazy. I can hand held in quite a low shuttle speed but still get a fine image. Especially the raw file in this camera is remarkable and another thing that i love about this camera is that you can edit the raw file from camera and export to jpec then directly transfer to phone for upload to any social app. But only one thing that annoying me is the battery life but overall it is a great compact camera! 👍🏻👍🏻

Thanks for the review! I use ricoh griii all the time. The only limits: sport photography and wildlife photography. HD video is ok for me because i don’t make videos and it is necessary to have a good computer to process 4K video.

THX for sharing your passion, i also love my RICOH GR IIIx and Macro Photography. I use the Ricoh with the Raynox DCR-250 lens with the GA-2 Lens Adapter. This is a great combo to get closer together with the macro modus...

The clacking sensor while turned off is no reason to worry. The same IBIS system is used in all Pentax DLSRs since 10 years, it is very reliable and robust. The IBIS is one of the most used features of the camera for me, because I can shoot in the middle of the night, with just street lamps at ISO 800 without a tripod. Perfect image quality for architecture, no matter the daytime.

I use a Fuji X70 with the 21mm adapter and optical viewfinder and an X-E4 with small primes but I’d buy a Ricoh GR if the next version has a tilting screen.

I‘ve lost the ring on my camera. The way this ring does not hold well is a shame ! Otherwise this camera is great, almost perfect!

Was wondering if you had the "image stabilization" ON while shooting video - to me, video was somewhat shaky...

Great video, Micael. But unfortunately, it's not the same battery as the previous model. The Ricoh GR and GR II had the DB-65 battery, this one has the DB-110. So I had to buy new spare batteries and the new charger, which is not provided with the camera, which is a shame. Other than that it's a great camera. :-)

for the ring take a small piece of electrical tape and stick it inside in a way that it will jam there

Sony A7 is full frame. The fact that the GR3 gets anywhere near its quality is a massive plus for the Ricoh. You should have made that clear.

Is there the same problem with sucking dust as with the grII..? It really fckd me up omg..

Is your roll, like on 5:06 shot wit that camera? If so it's lense would have too much geometric distortion for my taste. But your example photos do not show that distortion, so I guess it was a different camera.

Why does the video have lots of barrel distortion? Was that shot on a GoPro? I thought the point was to show the output of the Ricoh!

Ricoh:n och Fuji x100f är två intressanta kameror. Jag har testat fujin både på i skarpt läge och för egen fotopromenad och finner att om jag hade hafy extra batterier i fickan så försvinner dess största irritations moment och gör fujin till ett riktigt bra alternativ!

I'd love to see a Carry Speed MagFilter Magnetic Filter Adaptor for this camera that would hold a Raynox Macro Lens. What do you think?

I love the gr3. Great sensor. Great body. Very functional. Though...how did you get these images? The macro is an absolute joke. Its like the iPhone portretmode when it first came out.

For macro do you use manual or auto focus?
