After using the GXR / M / A12 28 and 50mm units for three years, and a host of other cameras including high-end Fujis and Nikons, this is still my favourite system no matter how old the technology. Still takes fantastic images, just pop a CPL and decent hood on the A12s, EVF and good to go. Nowadays, absolutely best value for money you can get (IMHO) and RAW files are quick to load and work on in Lr. Simple, rugged system and just keeps on going. Light and versatile enough to take anywhere. With so much new tech, it's still my go-to....

I've been through two I don't know about rugged my first body broke down after a bad hit. I just picked up the 28th mm sensor and the 50 mm sensor I'm deciding if I should keep both or not. I like the a 16 m mount sensor a lot. What do you think of image quality compared to the K5 2

Any pro camera after 2008-2010 is fine that's why. It's not a testament to the camera but to camera development basically having plateau'd. You can just use whatever model you want now since the past 14 years and be fine just like similar to the film days.

so true about the Kraftwerk concert LOL … I guess the real competitive advantage with the camera will be in providing innovative modules like dual sensor 3D camera or even 3D video module … or purpose specific modules (architecture photography, night vision etc.)

Nice presentation! I can't help but think this sensor+lens combination "concept" is nothing more than an attempt to generate sales. Good glass should last for years, even if you toss your 'obsolete' body chasing pixels and 'features.' With this system, your upgrade fever will see you throwing away 90% of the camera's value.
