I've had sewing machines that could double as embroidery machines since 2003. I dove into dedicated multi-needle embroidery machines in 2021, so this isn't exactly my first rodeo. That said, it's good to hear what my first impressions are, especially jumping from a domestic 10-needle to a slightly more industrial styled 15-needle machine!

I am so sad I can’t sew until mid-July. Both of my machines are now driven by a knee lift haha!

I keep black and white on mine, since they're the ones I use the most. I need to fix one of the thread feeders on mine, but having the other 13 needles that work are great and convenient for swapping out or having projects with like, 8 colors

Happy you are feeling better! Love your videos- I have the same machine (2yrs) now and we have been through some stuff lol. The learning curve was serious coming from single needle but once I got my confidence up and found helpful videos, I was off and running. Thanks for sharing your review so far

I’m incredibly stubborn. I’ve been doing my PT exercises religiously to rebuild muscle strength around the new joint! Last week was a doozy.

hello! welcome to the ricoma family. you c😅an remove the plastic thread thingies (i don't know what they are called). use either a flat head screw driver or a pair of tweezers, place under the thingie and lift up. they fit really tightly on the spindle but once you get them up enough to grasp firmly, you can work them up and off the spindle. i was sweating bullets doing mine but they did eventually come up! 😅 P.S.: love your channel! glad the hip is healing up. i also have the mt 1501 and i am loving it!

Lemme tell you how hard it is to filter when recording... SO HARD. I wanted to say the other word, but I am trying to be polite and as family friendly as possible in the videos. You never know when small ears are listening.

just get a flat head screw driver and put under the plastic thingies , they will lift up and pull off. All mine are off and stored in a box now

Do you use inventora for your embroidery projects? Ibwould love to see a video for the breakdown. I am struggling with this. I guess I should watch some of the videos. Lol

I DO, but only from the blanks management standpoint. Tracking thread has never been a "thing" I felt was worth the time. What I do is charge for the blank, then charge a fee per 1,000 stitches, round up to make it a nice number.

This one I believe is 9k? I may be WAY off though. I did a video in January going over the options for 2024. It has accurate info, but my runner brain is at Disney and all mushy right now.

Is ricoma worth the money$$? I heard they we're assembled in China. Does anyone know if these is true or is able to verify?

I don’t know where they’re assembled, but as far as cost vs return: to me it’s been great! I had way more problems with a domestic brand multi-needle than I do with the MT-1501. I hope others comment, too. I am going to appear biased no matter how much I sing their praises since I’m an Ambassador.

300 pounds without the stand. 460 pounds with the stand. That would be why it's on the first floor. The stand has wheels (casters) so we just rolled it into the garage after movers helped us get it ON the stand.
