Loving it. Very thorough yet not thick with repetitive filler content. Straightforward and decisive. Kudos. Got a 54mm 92a set in the AMZN cart 🛒 now. Might go ahead and get the 86a in one shot since Ive been swapping between the two formulae.

Ricta clouds are my main wheel if I’m not at a skatepark. I’ve worn through many pairs and they definitely wear down faster but they are so worth it. I’ve had a few of the 78a and a few of the 86a(my favorite), but I haven’t tried the 92a yet. I’m gonna get some soon. Hell yeah man, good video.

This was super helpful and there shouldn't be a dislike button at all with this video. Everything laid out great with some skating to boot. I wonder if the hardness feeling as they wore down was due to the core. From reading some stuff about longboard wheels with a hard core when they wear down and get closer to the core they feel harder.

Nice review. How are they for grinding/sliding? Talking about the 92a. How bad will they stick in a nose/tail slide?
@XSProgression
@XSProgression 3 года назад
Thanks!! Reaaally good questions. They are a bit stickier than harder wheels for grinds and slides. Definitely possible, but you gotta power through them. There were times that I’d grind a box with sharper metal coping and it would slice into the wheel a tiny bit. They are not as good for grinds and slides as harder wheels are, but definitely still possible to do them!

*Great review man! I really want to buy this wheels before but i feeling like not so sure because i’m afraid it’s gonna be like soft wheels like “the wheels gonna jump back at you while you doing stairs or gap”. So i’m gonna try buy em’ now* *Also if you got the new wheels kinda similar to this, please suggest to me. I’d love to try em’ out*

I have not skated the chrome clouds but I like the regular 92a clouds and love them for a all arounf wheel. Do you know the difference between the clouds and the chrome clouds?
@XSProgression
@XSProgression 3 года назад
I believe the Clouds are all made of full urethane and the Chrome Clouds have that piece of plastic core in them. I think it makes the Chrome a bit lighter, but I'm not 100% on that.

so these are a good all rounder? how about the 78A blues? deciding on one wheel for an all rounder board. (rough and sometimes smooth streets, sidewalks, and sometimes parks)
@XSProgression
@XSProgression 2 года назад
Yeah these are great all rounders! I havent tried the 78a, but they miiight feel a little soft if you do tricks. Great for if you just cruise usually. It'll ultimately end up being your personal preference, but the 92a felt great for me on the street and park

Hi man good review! A question: a lot difference vs 97a spitfire (feelings on foot)? I tried 97a for a compromise between smooth/roughs ground . Thank you and good luck for all.\m/
@XSProgression
@XSProgression 2 года назад
Thanks man! I haven't personally tried those Spitfires, but the 92a would definitely be easier on the feet and smoother for rough ground. 92a is softer than 97a, but is still hard enough to enjoy normally at a smooth park as well! If you feel the 97s are still too bumpy, grab a softer wheel. I hope that's helpful!

hi! i’ve been thinking of purchasing the 97a spitfires and the 92a clouds. what was your experience with the 97a spitfires? do they handle rough concrete well like are they quieter than 99a or do they still keep their speed well even on rough concrete? thank you :)
@layouterlimits

Is the 'chrome core' actually made of metal? I have the normal cored 78a and the core is made of plastic...they still feel great but...i just wondered.

@@XSProgression It's multiple factors, not just one specific reason, but it comes down to the physics of the wheel wearing down to a smaller size, and some of the science behind the materials breaking down (plastic deformation). As the wheel wears down, it becomes smaller, and a smaller wheel has less material between the surface you're riding on and the axle, so the energy from impacts doesn't have as much shock-absorbent material to travel through before it gets to the hard steel of the truck's axles, and ultimately, your feet. More energy from the shock of the road/ground surface makes it to your feet. But that's not the only reason. The wheels also lose their elasticity, and become harder and then ultimately more brittle over time from oxidation and UV exposure. The wheels also become harder as the polymer chains in the urethane become deformed or broken at the molecular level due to heat cycling. As the wheel heats up from friction and riding the rough terrain, the molecules expand and stretch the bonds between the molecules. When the wheel cools back down, most of, but not all the molecules snap back into place, and slowly over time, the elasticity of the material is lost as these bonds are deformed or broken, leading to a harder wheel. The same thing happens to the rubber in tires, which is explained over at Donut media in this video about F1 Racing tires ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1vRXezUBLfU.html The combination of the wheels becoming harder from plastic deformation, oxidation, uv exposure, and a smaller wheel, equal a rougher ride than when you first bought the wheels.

Sorry to bother you with what might be a silly question, but is there much difference between 92a wheels and 95a wheels?
@XSProgression
@XSProgression 3 года назад
Dont be sorry! Im more than happy to answer questions! It isnt a HUGE difference between the two, but the 92a will definitely be softer and smoother over rough surfaces. 95a will last longer and go faster, but will still be pretty soft. Which one is better for you depends on what you're going to be riding over and how soft you need them to be!
