@@jadonweissmann2153 I know your comment is 2 years old, but I just wanna clear some stuff up for viewers tuning into this video nowadays. Cruiser wheels are indeed made for tricks, especially ones around this size. How else are you gonna ollie over a curb while cruising through the city? I should note that wheels this soft aren't made for some specific tricks like reverts (depends on if you let the wheels touch and slide on the ground while doing it, not much of a problem if your reverts are in the air) and powerslides, they will absolutely throw you and damage the wheels. Now, once you go over 60+ mm in size, they start becoming longboard wheels. Those are not recommended at all for tricks, unless you're doing longboard dancing stuff or something, but that's a completely different can of worms.

@themanunleashed
@themanunleashed 2 года назад
@@faiz7180 when it comes to tricks, you can use virtually any wheel type from 50-55mm. you can do an ollie on 60mm but takes more effort. The softness of the wheels do allow you to give a nice push and ride for longer, which does help with doing tricks on the road while riding. The best thing about the 78a wheels is that when you're on the street, you have a smooth ride which can make you ride longer with each push. Better than 98a wheels that go slow on a street, and makes you push more often.

I currently use use 60mm 83a Alva cruiser wheels. It feels more like a 78a or below. I tried many wheels, too many to list. I'm a heavy rider and tried a few variations of 60mm wheels but I had to go ultra soft. The ground here is textured (I'm assuming because of the winters here) and I can't 'lighten' myself for cracks or rocks (need muscle tone and lose weight) which means the wheel is going to be doing way more work than it would be for someone else. So, for down pressure, size if typical cracks and rocks and texture we have here, the slow gummy type wheels work for me until I can lower my weight and up the duro.

They are pretty good. I ride on pretty rough streets and they are definitely alot smoother than like a 99A (obviously). I find that 86A are the real sweet spot for me though.

What are the biggest, widest, softest wheels for a standard (well 7.75) skateboard. My neighborhood roads are ultra rough. I currently ride spitfire 80hd. But I really want something to ride through my neighborhood with my daughter. Something that takes little effort to just ride. Also without looking ridiculous like longboard wheels.
@acgwestsidesb6410
@acgwestsidesb6410 3 года назад
Hi longboard looking wheels starting around 40mm width
@acgwestsidesb6410
@acgwestsidesb6410 3 года назад
But the wider wheels you get the smoother and faster you ride through rough surfaces. Same with size of wheels
@acgwestsidesb6410
@acgwestsidesb6410 3 года назад
Little effort riding in your case is buying longboard wheels 68-75mm 78-80a. Ricta has 73mm Wester Storm Clouds 78a for example

@sontiyo7113 4 года назад
mini super juice if its only about the cruise. I love riding on them more than anything else. While its possible and I did some kickflips on it before, you wont find me doing any tricks on those wheels.Apart from ollies ofc. Shuv its on these wheels is a mystery too me and im not willing to learn it lol On clouds I will easily still have most of my flat tricks down, but they ride isnt as enjoyable. Still rides great on shitty ground. Obv these are tradionionally shaped so it helps, but OJs will get over bumpbs better (i have both)

Can you slide with these and do ollies and shuv its? Thank u
@kais2345
@kais2345 3 года назад
Generally with softer wheels you're going to have a harder time sliding, they're just more grippy. You're going to want to kick turn rather than revert. You can still trick for sure though.

Might consider getting something closer to 86a though, a bit of a better compromise, unless your roads are really rough!

I was confused at first. Make a smarter decision. "Cruiser / Long Board" - "Skatepark / Street Board" [board type] [locations] 'Street' and 'Skate parks' are locations.* 'Cruiser and 'Long Boards' are board types.* The comparison does not correlate. Consider this comparison for WHEEL SIZE. [anything 56mm or above +riser.] 1. Location Big Wheels for riding (Location) "flat-ground trails 58+mm" Small Wheels for riding (Location) "skateparks flat-ground 52mm / side walks flat-ground 54mm" OR 2. Board Type Big Wheels for riding (board type) "cruiser / penny / 8.5+ size skateboard deck size" Small Wheels for riding (board type) "skatepark (skateboard) deck: 7.25 (52mm wheels) to 8.0 (54mm wheels) skateboard deck size "
