What’s the Riddick saga?
The Chronicles of Riddick, is a science fiction action media franchise created in 2000 by David Twohy spanning three live-action feature films. The series follows the adventures of antihero character Riddick (Vin Diesel from the Fast and Furious saga and The Pacifier) in the 28th century.
What’s the Riddick movie about?
The infamous Riddick (Vin Diesel from the Fast and Furious saga and The Pacifier) has been left for dead on a sun-scorched planet that appears to be lifeless. Soon, however, he finds himself fighting for survival against alien predators more lethal than any human he's encountered. The only way off is for Riddick to activate an emergency beacon and alert mercenaries who rapidly descend to the planet in search of their bounty. The first ship to arrive carries a new breed of merc, more lethal and violent, while the second is captained by a man whose pursuit of Riddick is more personal. With time running out and a storm on the horizon that no one could survive, his hunters won't leave the planet without Riddick's head as their trophy.

The thing you have to remember, when fighting mud demons is. When thier hiding in a pool, it's three or four feet deep. But if you do a knee slide, it's only a few inches deep.

@@williammorris4327 Ugh yes I know this part didn't make sense and you're all right. But the thing to consider here is that they are often shown coming out of 'shallow' pools of mud because they're all buried themselves in the mud. Now, we've never seen a 500lb giant creature come out of thick mud and not leave a hole or anything, that's where you'd have to imagine this 'alien' mud seems to fill in because it's different? Still a bit of a goof.

@@justindavis2711 To be honest we all know how Riddick would overpower any race of existence. But to have him in civilization is not fun to watch. We don't see Riddick shine and be the apex predator he is. Because of this I liked how he was in the wild and has to sharpen his senses again.

The planet ain't so bad , if riddick had the firepower with gunships etc he could of wiped out the mud demons when they all came out and wiped them out and let the bodies decay and fertilize the ground etc , he could build a settlement with ranchers and have jackels as pets and riddick could be the chief etc and live the simple life lol

Its not so much that the mud demons are swimming but rather lying in and likely flattening against the muddy bottom of the pool, so when Riddick slides you are actually seeing how shallow the water really is but what monstrous creatures of immense size still lie waiting....

You might already know this but Riddick had elective surgery in prison to get his eyes that way. It allows him to see in the dark similarly to most nocturnal animals, but he cannot see in bright light. Without his goggles in daylight he would be blind.

@@BrandonTheKralik If I understand Ophthalmology correctly, you wont be having any meaningful vision with that much advanced cataract. Bright light, low light, no light, it simply wont matter, ask anyone with even a smaller cataract about their quality of vision.

@@BrandonTheKralik Incorrect, Where he did himself believe that to be the case, it's actually a dormant trait that Alpha Furyans can obtain through growth. When Shirah appeared to him in a vision she had awakened this trait. It is unclear if she is actually a living being or a spirit, but she is a Furyan herself.

Days before this fight, he was injecting small amounts of venom (he caught a small one & extracted it) into him to gain some immunity. That's why he baited the mud demon to bite him.
