The one reason I’m lookin to even consider getting R5 is for 120fps on series X, but given no other major improvements I’ll wait till it’s 40 bucks…. Lighting looks far better on R5 because R4 had bad contrast, too dark you could barely see the details on tires and bike in 3rd person mode.
Yeah, I'm not purchasing Ride 5 I don't think. To me Ride 4 looks better - The bikes do sound better in Ride 5 but not paying 60 bucks for a sound upgrade.
@@WSNBM-1908 It's not a setup problem, it's a problem of how bad the physics are. I have played more than 1500 hours in Ride 4 since it came out and most of the time I'm against the clock testing setups, I know perfectly how it works and this game is poorly made, the physics are not consistent with reality and I'm telling you this because I've been playing for many years driving sport motorcycles like GSX-R, R1 etc..
true, also when you downshift hard in braking zone, the bike sound is immediately cut off, like you pressing the clutch but you didnt, that always happens if i use the rear brake to combine the deceleration input with the front brake
If I only could filter out all messages that talk about how the games sounds, looks. I would filter it all and just look for how the game physics play, this is everything to me. The Game Settings and gear adjustments and how different it plays in the rain.
To me, Ride 5 has a backfire sound that doesn't sound exciting. When you interact with the motorbike in Ride 4, the backfire sound will interact with you, it sounds fun and looks fun too. In Ride 5, I feel like riding an electric motorbike.
ride 5 is a better game overall imo. idk why people say ride 4 has better graphics, i played both of them.. and i enjoyed both game when it came out. the lighting and the texture are more natural in ride 5. you may see the exaggerated texture and over-saturated color in ride 4 as a 'better' looking visual, the street when raining is also too reflective in ride 4. well in if you guys prefer that, it's become subjective and I respect your preferences. most inaccurate tracks in ride 4 are fixed now in ride 5 also.
I have ride 4 as I just bought it with season pass for £10 it's on offer now. I had it years ago before I sold ps5, just got a slim. Ride 4 plays miles better! The demo of 5 doesn't even have a lean button! In 4 you lean into the corners and it feels so much better. Helmet view is good in 4 and near non existent in 5. It seems 5 has improvements but the actual racing in 4 is way better! Graphics look just about same so I'd recommend just buying 4 and skipping 5 completely. Why they can't make an open world one where U ride to your races and have street races too, start off with 125cc license etc
@@WSNBM-1908you didn't know about milestone already. Just a "little" improvement whatever in graphics or physics. That's it, and others just a same. Even in MotoGP game kinda same. About bike/rider? Just ok, but i really not impressed at all. Other things just broken. Remember, Milestone just COPY the previous game, and PASTE but using a new series there. That's it.
Most games now are sold on there first sale, I wish they would do something great in the updates not gimicks true ABS would be option one the bike slows down over 100ft option two 75ft option three 50ft, ABS the onboard computer pinches the disc so many times a second WTF we have now I have no idea !! ask for things to work not daft stuff like managers adding zero to gameplay.
Nah ride 5 is better, has better optimisation, Bike responsiveness is more fluid. Been tweaks to some of the game modes, you can you have no collision modes through the campaign and the AI seems about the same, maybe only slightly tougher But if you come from ride 4 you need to adjust to the new cornering mechanics. They also fixed the bugged rear brakes from ride 4 which made the game almost unplayable imo
Sounds are much worse in Ride5, stock bikes sound like they have straight pipes. Same as Forza games lol They're too lazy in Ride games to change sounds from stock to racing exhaust. Now, stock bikes sound like they have race exhausts😂
for me ride4 looks better but some lightning is good in ride5 and some detail in physics and bike sound is good donno if thats the accurate one usually ride 4 bike sound is the one i hear in streets now I dont know whitch title to buy lol😅
Colors are completely washed out. Foliage is the same model with significantly more apparent pop-in. Game looks smoothed over. SOME of the lighting is better, but most is worse. I’ve played Ride 2, 3, and 4, and Milestone can’t seem to make a proper sequel. Plenty of features that are better in Ride 3 vs 4 too. I had a feeling it’d be worse from the very first trailer.
After months on TT IOM which I love (19th time trial online on Sussex), I saw videos on RU-vid about Ride 4 and 5 and decided to try Ride 4. I absolutely don't understand a point which totally surprised and disappointed me : the steering. Actually when you turn the bike turns on the opposite direction quickly before turning on the direction you want... WTF? That's never happen IRL, hopefully! I searched how to disable this behaviour or to tweak it, no way... Indeed now I see this in every videos, and even if the player manage not to fall, he obviously do lots of little mistakes. Maybe a hard training would compensate this incredibly stupid way of steering, but I know on advance I would never take pleasure on time trial. And I'm afraid to get tired of all these cloned white houses ^^ What a surprise, a great potential game but unplayable, wasted by this stupid choice... And I suppose it's the same with Ride 5. TT IOM remains my favorite for many reasons
Ride 4, tons of feedback through the controller (if you have a good one, some new Xbox controllers have half the weight and fewer rumblers). But R4 is good for letting you know how the bike is doing, if you're pushing too hard. Ride 5, almost no feedback whatsoever. Not until the last 10-15% of the traction limit does the game give you any feedback. Understeer is a major issue and much harder to dial out (may be impossible as I still haven't found a setup I like.
If you copy-paste the visuals like 1:1 at least use the time to improve the physics and AI. But no, it's still shit. Even worse bugs. You advertise Endurance for Ride5 and make it even more broken than Ride5...Races literally never end...that's how broken it is. OMG
Unfortunately, Raid 5 is bad compared to its predecessor. Blurred image, bugs when viewing the replay, some shadows flicker and the game's colors seem very soft, including the ambience. The clouds in the sky are very poorly made! The sky is blurred, it has no texture. RIDE 4 is the best of all!
Ride 5 for me looks better because of the improved contrast and more detailed bikes. But in fact, they are almost the same. But i very DISLIKE the ride 4 campain. Its so gereneric, ride 3 was WAY BETTER when its comes on campain and atmosphere. And ride 2 had more specific upgrades. I ride 250/300 motorcycles for like 15 years and not seeing ninja 300, ninja 400, cbr 250 and 300 on ride 5 and 4 was a TURNDOWN for me. They are very popular on the streets and on tracks and also how i measure the realism of the games.
They would make way more money, if they made a game called Ride, and sold the bikes like they do in RaceRoom. Ride 5 it´s just not worth it... The worst part of it.. I have ride 2 and ride 4 with all the DLC´s. If i get Ride 5, i will need to pay for the same bikes again.. LOL Not happening... This is why motorcycle games are dying... Triple A companies don´t know how to get the best out of a game..
I really wish Ride would get better graphics. Even on PC it doesn't look good. Especially while racing it is so blurry you can't see anything. There are much smaller developers who have made better looking racing games. It seems like all of the motorcycle games we have to choose from are low budget, but tons of car racing games look great.
Man some people like “old on better” stuff, Milestone knows what they doing… and they know what to improve. This is not the graphic demonstration stuff, clearly Ride 5 has better lighting, sound stuff, i guess people didn’t get used to the new one
