This beautiful 1960 Austin Healey Bugeye Sprite lived its entire life in California before we brought it to Connecticut! It even appeared in two magazines in the '90s! Check out this car and more at bugeyeguys.com!
The Bug Eye along with the Triumph Spitfire and MG Midget were fun cars for young men that didn’t break the bank. Their girlfriends who didn’t yet have wedding rings on their fingers knew to bide their time stoically to put up with the discomfort and mussed hair knowing that all would change after the trip to the altar. Small British sports cars were as much fun as Porsches and less lethal. A guy near me owns one and every time I see them on the road I’m amazed at how tiny the Sprite. I wonder what German engineers made of the interior cable door pull. A bit on the basic side.
