@@graceclark9397 I know she is a real person and I know this is a true story but I'm talking more about the film making aspect to it. You can have a story where a character wins 7 competitions and then win the big prize despite people telling them they cant and still make the audience unsure whether they'll win or not. It's based on a true story. "based". Take the Chernobyl Mini-Series, for example, there's a part where there are 3 divers who have to dive into deadly radioactive water and in the show, it tells us that they volunteered for this and got 400 rubles and they did it to save billions twisting the story making us care even more for the divers but in real life they didn't volunteer and there was no 400 rubles. Those divers did it because they were ordered to. The volunteering part makes us root for them. In movies based on true stories characters who didn't die are killed off to make the story more interesting than it already is. My point is the film should make us unsure. Sure someone might know how a true story ends but a good filmmaker can make us second guess that outcome and root for the character. sorry for the paragraph lol :)

Roz I understand that, I have seen many films similar to how you decide however, this is not one of those films. This one is a feminist movie celebrating a female Australian athlete. I have seen the film and it seems like it’s perfectly accurate (so much so that her brother plays himself) The point of the movie is not to keep the ending a mystery or to make the story more interesting with false accounts, but to show the real life story of the hurdles females athletes face and how this champion won a men’s game.

Roz I want to see that one too.
