We ride on Black Hills Central Railroad #110 2-6-6-2 Steam Train. 1880 Train has various locomotives for its passenger excursion trip to and from Hill City, South Dakota to Keystone, South Dakota. This line was a mining and logging spur off of a now non-existent main line. The trip is very twisting and steep and very worth the trip. They have depots at both ends. Tickets can be purchased for round trip or one way. You may also get off and catch the next train back if you wish.

You just can’t beat a good train ride. I took an Amtrak back and forth from Portland, OR to Milwaukee, WI a few times when I was a lad and have fond memories of of each trip.

Just another great video Steve man I love the old steam engine's but it still needs to be coal fired nothing like the smell and the smoke but thanks epa and tree huggers for stopping that I bet they try and stop the oil burning before long sorry for the rant but this is great family time your having just stay safe don't have any accident like Kurt Schmidt wrong spelling I think you watch his RU-vid channel trucking with Schmidt he had he is still having trouble from it they were out there wreaked on 4wheelers but have fun you may be back home by now but keep the video's coming on all 3 channels Thanks again for the ride along

Steve great video, didn't realize you were a rail fan, to bad you probably can't make it to my train club in Jackson Wi on Sept 11 we have 50 yr celebration of the club. It's 1/8th scale rideable trains.
