Peterborough Transit 2705 is a Novabus LFS built in 2005. It is one of the 3 buses from 2005 Peterborough Transit has and it is one of the oldest transit buses still in operation in the Greater Golden Horseshoe.
Route 8 Monaghan runs between Fleming College and the west bank of Trent University's Symons Campus. It runs on Spillsbury Dr, Crawford Dr, Monaghan Rd, Sherbrooke St, Medical Dr, Fairbairn St, Towerhill Rd, Marina Blvd, and Water Street. The route was introduced in 2020, with service along the current route being previously served by the old routes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8.
On June 23, 2024, the route was modified to discontinue service on Fisher Dr and Crawford Dr to the Peterborough South Park & Ride and Shorelines Casino. Also, service around PRHC was changed so that buses running northbound would turn onto Alexander Ct first before serving the hospital. Direct service to the new Lily Lake subdivision was also added.
