Best part "IS THAT DISNEYLAND?! THIS IS SO COOL" Though this does look interesting I see myself riding it once and that's it. Just to experience it in person.

Literally a reskin of terror of terror except theres things to see after each drop. Looks cool

Just rode it twice today. Is amazing! I was skeptical before, but once you ride it you will realize how good it is compared to ToT. The music variety makes the ride exciting every time! I'll say it's an upgrade of DCA watered down ToT.

I see they really did add random drop sequences to the ride. I still think the ride looks pretty neat and everyone complaining probably haven't been on the actual ride yet.

I've rode it twice now I have to say it's very refreshing. I was a huge ToT fan I even have the Disney Pins to prove it. Just the overall atmosphere was a nice change. I feel it's an overall smart move from Disney. As the "elevator" theme of ToT kept people away. Now I know a few people who were afraid of ToT wound up really liking the new ride.

Upgrade from ToT: The ride actually lasts longer AND its drops are randomized. *THANK YOU* for randomization. I got so bored knowing what ToT's pattern was.

I've had an annual pass for 7 years and was pretty bummed out because TOT was one of my favorites and these videos of Mission Breakout weren't convincing me but I rode it today and I loved it

I love how at the end Drax totally mocks the fact that almost EVERY THEME PARK RIDE EVER thanks the guests for helping out the main characters, even though they don't do anything😂😂😂😂fucking brilliant!

Just went to ride it today. I am truly amazed at how to ride was. On video it looks boring. But it did blow my expectations. If you want to go on it, I suggest getting a fastpass as soon as the parks open. the line was 5 hours today. It suprised me as to the drops. The queue and beginning film in the waiting room was amazing. Definitely my favorite ride at the moment. Much better than Tower of Terror, and trust me. Tower of terror is very special to me.

I think it's pretty cool that there's a new ride that's in none of the parks. Don't pretty much all the parks have ToT? It's not like it's gone forever or they got rid of the original..

The coolest part of this ride is the randomness and uniqueness of every ride. On of 8 or 10 songs is randomly chosen to play during the ride, and a random drop pattern is assigned. What makes it even more unique is that there is a number of scenes that can possibly play on the screens in between each drop, making every ride-through a total unique experience. I totally dig it. Oh, and if you're one of those Californian complainers whining because your nostalgia has been replaced by a better ride, then go ride the better ToT in Florida.

Can't satisfy everyone! But I was also concerned about this ride, until I went on it yesterday. I actually loved it, it's sooo much fun. Can't wait to go back and hear all the songs they have on the ride

This comment section. Not everyone loved the original ToT. Let people love this version. We needed something new for a long time. I think I might be bias to the change, I never liked ToT (due to the atmosphere), so having something super charming and upbeat is a good change. I might try the ride again.

This ride is so fun! I was trying to think tower of terror will still be better but dang the ride is even more intense and crazy. Loved it

This and California screamin are My favorite rides in Disneyland. Would definitely recommend to anybody wanting to be thrilled.

This video (while great) does no justice. When you experience this in person it's a million times better!! I was sad to see the original tower go but I'm glad this is what replaced it. I don't see how anyone can say it's unoriginal. While yes it does use the old tows skeleton it make it feel like a whole new ride! While it would have been nice to see the old tower still standing I'm glad I can experience this new one ❤️

My favorite lines in the ride is “NOW SHOW ME THOSE HANDS PEOPLE” and “WE’RE OUT OF HERE”

So happy to have our own drop ride and not a clone anymore. Floridas ToT is the best and only version...and it's classic.

The brilliance of tower of terror was how timeless it was. The ride came before the unknown tower of terror movie and was such a classic. You could never get bored of the ride due to no serious plot besides that you are "traveling to another dimension" it was very thrilling and transported you to another place. Thats the magic of disneyland. As much as i do love guardians of the galaxy, it is pretty dumb to replace such a timeless ride with a trending movie. Movie trends change, this one will get old soon. What will they do then? Change the entire ride again? I understand Disneyland is starting to get more competition but so many other places in california adventure couldve used something like that, not a popular ride like tot. The guardians of the galaxy craze will die out one day and all that will be to waste. Also i wanted to mention that the ride just felt like i was watching a promo in 4D, not a ride. It reminds me of Nemo, and we saw how fast that ride died out. I think soon people will miss tot but we cant do anything about it. Amyways, thats my opinion lol.

I'm glad it has changed the drop and some rock music like Rock n' roller coaster.

I rode this 4 times this weekend and honestly it's a lot better in person, I had low expectations after watching videos but when you actually are there it's really fun. And it also depends which version you get since there are 6 different ones and I found that some are better than others.

ppl can probably agree that even this is better then journey into YOUR imagination at Epcot

I think "Hit Me With Your Best Shot" is the most fitting song for this ride.

What's really cool is that there are different scenes to view when you ride. It depends on the songs.

I honestly still hurt after ToT But this looks like such a fun ride I can't wait to go on it!

my only disappointments are that the lights dont flicker on or off nor do the doors open bery often during the drops and it wont play hooked on a feeling. other than that, as a huge tower fan boy I LOVE IT! Its basically tower of terror, rock n roller coaster, and hints of space mountain combined. not to mention those are some of my favorite disney rides ever. all you whiners need to shut up and go to florida

I went on it twice and got the we want the funk experience, I'm ok with it cause it was a sick ride but I probably won't be visiting Disney for another couple years so I'm gonna miss this ride, it seriously is so much fun and a lot crazier than the Tower of Terror

That is cool compared to other povs it changes in rhythm and has a different song each time you ride.

All I see is a bunch of comments from obvious Orlando fanboys complaining about how the people who don't like this ride have no right to express their opinion. WDW fans probably won't understand this, but: most of the people who go to Disneyland are real Disney fans who want to experience the Disney magic at the original location. ToT at Disneyland WAS a classic in California adventure and one of the best rides in the resort, and no, it was NOT "a shell of the one at WDW". The theming fit better in California adventure and the actual ride was better. And the awesome picturesque loook of the towering hotel was so special... and now it's ruined by what looks like a computer barfed on it. I'm NOT saying the ride is bad, I haven't even been on it yet. Disney never does something bad to their original park. But I understand why people don't like it, ToT was something very special they don't want to give up. Stop hating on the actual Disney fans who just want to share their opinion.

For everyone saying "not everyone can afford to go to Florida to ride TOT", count yourself lucky that you can afford to go to any Disney Park period. I live in SC. Never been to WDW and definitely not Disneyland. I've relied on videos like to be able to get a feel of the rides' theme. This GotG attraction is literally TOT with just a different theme. It took away the creepy environment and replaced with something lighthearted. I can see where some people would be a little angry with that, but ffs it's not the end of the world. It's also the same duration of the actual riding part of TOT, and just by looking at my video suggestions there is also a pre show just like TOT used to have.

A very close second to Indiana Jones for me. I was sceptical, but I like it a lot better than Tower of Terror.

for the first time. Not knowing anything about the ride. Lets just say my 6 year little boy likes it and didn't cry at all. I thought I was going to pee my pants. He just barely made the 40 inch height limit for it. So glad that we went on it.

I actually went on this I am a HUGE Tower Of Terror fan but I was devastated when they said they were gonna replace this but it was actually pretty cool and fun

It's funny how most of the people talking shit about the new version of the ride...hasn't even experienced it in person yet. Way to go. After previewing the ride and riding it a few times it quickly become my new favorite ride at DCA. It's a lot of fun y'all.

I’ve grownup with TOT and it always made me heated to watch these videos about GOTG, but I’m actually quite pumped for it when i go in 4 weeks here. You don’t really know the rides atmosphere if you haven’t ridden it

I don't think it is necessary to complain. I don't think this will be better than TOT for me personally, but it's nice to see Disney update things. I just wish it wasn't at the expense of TOT. Can we get started on Tomorrowland now? If anything needs improvement, it's that....waiting for Star Wars Land to complete I guess
