I saw the rain ahead but just assumed it would be a quick shower. As I soon found out it definitely wasn't just a quick shower. Flooding, Lightning, Sheets of rain, and me suffering through it all on a 1200 Triumph Tiger. A lot of people forget that the Appalachian mountains are considered a temperate rain forest so thunderstorms are a frequent, almost daily event, during the hottest parts of summer.
It's not the first big storm I've stumbled into and I'm sure it won't be the last but it was definitely one of the more memorable ones.
