Yes it is. Direct Tools Factory Outlet. And you still get the Lifetime Services Agreement. They have been selling out quick but the stock is replenished in a few weeks after each sellout. On sale for $299.00 right now.
I have one of these and I love it, great features, nice and accurate, cheap blades and runs forever on a charge and it will cut virtually anything I need to cut and it is my go to miter saw, my 10" corded Ryobi single bevel sliding miter saw rarely gets used anymore.
Have had mine for about a month. This is a great saw for the DIYer and pro alike! Almost wear your arm out before the battery. Smooth and powerful. Had a $199 price tag at Home Depot. Registered for lifetime warranty received confirmation 3 days later.
Please help, I can't find this to buy on Home depot website or in store. I emailed Ridgid and they don't care and just sent me a canned response that I need to check with Home Depot to order it which I already tried and they can't order it. Do you have access to Ridgid people and could ask if they will start selling R48607K again in Home Depot or will they release a new model of cordless dual bevel Miter saw soon? I only found the item from unofficial resellers on Ebay/Amazon, but it's a lot higher cost at $399 from them, and tool will not have LSA warranty if you buy it from those types of unofficial sellers. thanks
Kimosabe 1 it seemed that once Milwaukee came out with their model that was like dead on to this one Ridgid stop selling it so I would look at the Milwaukee one if you don't mind going into those batteries
I just bought this saw. I'm very pleased Other Then; it the blade doesn't seem to slide back far enough to cut all the way through. it lease a very small piece of uncut material in the back lower corner. small enough to be cleaned up with my utility knife but annoying to have to shave off of every single cut. I tried moving the fence forward but wasn't enough play to fix this.
That is not right. I would return it and get a new one. We never had that issue as you can see in our video and for trim cuts, you would not want that!
eaaronjames there is a washer under the depth stop screw unscrew it and remove the washer mine didnt have this issue but many people removed the washer and the problem was solved
Tough call! They are very close and what would separate them is accuracy. IMHO, the Dewalt is a touch more accurate, but one would only notice it in a every single day application.
Nice review guys. I LOVE that it is dual-bevel. Noticed that that D handle doesn't look very friendly for the left handed person (not an issue for me though). The saw looks almost identical to the DeWalt besides this being dual bevel...did this cut as accurately as the DeWalt? any other differences between the two?? Thanks!
The Dewalt uses a special blade where this one does not. Accuracy seems to be about the same. The d handle would not be to bad for a lefty as the safety would work well, but you would be using your pinky to pull the trigger.
Ask your Ridgid contacts why they have not come out with a cordless table saw ? A dual battery table saw would probably become one of their best selling tools '
I could care less about the accuracy of a compound miter cut on a 2*4. How do you support 3 1/2 crown against that left fence? Clearly you drive the saw with the right hand. I really want this saw, but...
Hello first of all thank you for your reviews .I considering to buy ridgid or Milwaukee miter saw(7-1/4) . which one can you suggest? Concerning to precision, build quality, i need it for cutting picture frames, moldings and door framing, and need ti put for example 45° and get cut on 45, thanks
Milwaukee and Ridgid are both made by TTI, so the quality of them will be the same, IF, you are in similar price ranges. If you want a saw to cut on a 45 when you put it there, it will most likely need some adjustment. Very few saws these days are coming out of the factory being very accurate. If I were to buy a miter saw today it would be a Bosch, Metabo HPT or Dewalt. Those are the best.
Looks like a nice saw and a great option to use standard 7-1/4 inch blades. Have you had any problems with the Ridgid batteries, I have heard some people complain they have a high failure rate.
Russ Webster I have used ridgid for 6 years in the trades.... I have never had an issue with the batteries. for the price I am very happy with the performance. I just wish they would keep pace with Milwaukee regarding the tool options. ie. multi battery pack charger, lighting, or brushless tools.
I just bought this saw at Home depot and when I run the motor without a load I can hear what sounds like a bunch of gear slop, it doesn't sound good. I went to take it back but the second saw they pulled out sounded the same, have you noticed that it sounds bad while running? I don't hear the same sound through the audio in your video.
Jeff Bryan Hey guys I know I'm late to the party but I'm in need of a miter saw I love this miter saw but I can't seem to find it can you help me out with any links it would be highly appreciated. I'll talk to you soon have a great day
