Ridiculous 117% Falco Death Combo 

You're like the only other Falco except for myself I ever see use upsmash after the dair would start to become techable. Kudos on the combo.

The funniest thing about this is the Description: "Warning: If you try to do this combo yourself, it probably won't work. It was improvised based on manipulation/prediction of my opponent's DI" =D

Okay, here's for everyone: Dair, no DI Shine, no DI Dair, no apparent DI Shine, DI behind, tried to escape but was predicted. Usmash, DI behind, tried to escape but did not predict an usmash. Utilt, no DI. Nair, DI towards the opponent. This was a mistake. I'm guessing he was afraid of a fsmash or something to kill him. Then again the dash dance nair was very well executed. TBC

i love this combo especially the dash a trotting with smash in the end. I love to use that on heavy characters, it's just so satisfying.

Directional Influence. It's how you control your character as you move and are being hit. In simplest terms, although not entirely true in some cases, using your control stick to control the direction of your character while being hit.

Fox and Falco can zero to death combo Falcon without having to read the opponent's mind though...

Any experienced smash player can see DI in this combo. In fact, the only hit to go un-DIed is the first shine (Eggm was probably trying to SDI it and missed). A poorly DIed fsmash in a Falco ditto would cost a stock at anything above 50%; both players knew this. Reik was using attacks that keep combos going if survival DI is used on them (upsmash, dash attacks and nairs). Eggm's DI on the last fsmash was correct, but he had too much damage at that point to survive it. Riek is too good.

In other words, there is no mercy here. The other falco was DESTROYED.

Many people don't seem to realize that yes, this combo was escapable. In fact, did you know this combo wouldn't work if the other Falco had not DIed at all? The reason it worked is because the Falco performing the combo was manipulating the other's DI to make his combo last longer. There isn't enough room to explain every step of it here, but I could. Excellent combo by a very good player! 5/5

yes....thats why some combos are more complex than they appear, the player must read which way the opponent will DI their attack

Um. Synesthesia. Yes it was inescapable. The other falco did ALL he could have (try to DI out of it) but the guy doing the combo predicted him perfectly. No chance to escape. This isn't Brawl.

means directional influence... basically when u move right after u get hit to slightly change the direction ur sent to. u can try practising it repeatedly pressing the same direction in an attack like samus up+B

Combo = Multiple hits in somewhat rapid succession without interruption.

O.o? Withought DI...that combo wouldn't have lasted as long as it had. It might sound strange, but Reik's combos thrive on DI, it seems. It's truly frightening.

Dash attack, DI towards the opponent. I'm guessing he was predicting a Dsmash to finish the combo, since it would have made perfect sense. Another dash attack, DI towards the opponent again. Maybe he tried to randomly change his DI, or was afraid of another killer... Fair, DI towards the opponent. He probably would have died otherwise... Fsmash, DI up and towards. Perfect DI for surviving, but had too high %. Basically he just was too afraid of dying and DIed against too much.

It's called Direction Influence. It's easy to escape any combo so long as your jesus at it.

Ironically, I probably couldn't do that even if my opponent dropped the controller. Not TAS worthy but still better than me.

Obviously from your comment above about his opponent's DI implies that you have know understanding of competitive smash. I'm not saying that other smashers can't beat him--I'm saying that you, an unexperienced smasher, cannot. And meh, my Falco sucks. I'd take you on in a StarFox battle any day though; I love my fox. :D

actually it was nair, 2 dash attacks, fair. But you are still right, as I did mistake that nair for a dash attack.

I liked how you used the fair at the end. You wouldn't have been able to combo it into an fsmash (or anything, really) if it had been a nair or something.

I have the same problem sometimes. Of course it's easy to tell him to DI away, but could you do it when flying up from usmash at 67%? He could have Fsmashed instead and that would have gotten him killed even from the middle of Final Destination. Bottom Line, It wasn't perfectly DIed indeed, but by no means was he a noob. Maybe he was too good for his own good, trying to survive too much.

there was some DI ... at some point, up-smash -> DI that made the combo easier. :p

@RKODragon15 its a combo... a non working, one, just because it may have seemed impressive does not make it a combo. Unless player 2 is actually bothering to try to get out, its not really that hard of a thing to do.

That wasn't a full combo. I saw that it started a 14% percent damage. The end result wouldn't have made a difference, but it could have looked more flashier doing different attacks every time. Falco Phantasm will knock them into the pit wherever you hit them at, unlike fox's.

i never asked any questions to begin with. i'm just saying even if you mindgamed him into that, his DI was bad. if you DI correctly from the shine you fly ALOT farther and it would take longer to reach him(not saying that you still wouldnt), and when he was getting hit by u-tilt and u-smash, there was NO NEED for an up AND right/left DI at that percent also. and yes it was funny watching him get hit by that combo, can we end this now so i can stop checking back here?

@cmgreen4 lulz. no they arent. l canceling was in 64 as well, unless they decided to reproduce the glitch but not make it as good in melee. I wouldn't consider something purposefully programmed into a game a glitch. Same reasoning goes with wavedashing. Its a result of an airdodge being interrupted by the ground.
