Got these thinking they were the slightly larger Panfish floats ru-vid.comUgkx_rJB7cli5f1ofPVGgn80S7Yj4vqwq0gU they work just fine. The smaller size lets me carry more in my tackle box, and the 3 color choices are nice for different lighting conditions, backgrounds, etc. They aren't the most durable things in the world. But, as cheap as they are, it's not heartbreaking to lose one or have to replace a worn one. The price on these fluctuates wildly, from about $9 to almost $16. So, time your buy accordingly.
The leader has zero stretch to it ru-vid.comUgkxOnWw4BwVtrW450xWozo3OpVX4931NDw5 which is expected from a wire leader. Can’t test the quality of all the snaps yet but packaging was nice and neat and I couldn’t get anything to happen when I pulled on it.
Did not know there were places to fish for steel in the summer months.. I know in Lake Ontario they are only in the tribs from fall through spring so we normally have to wait.. I wish they came back up in the summer
Most summer steelhead will die after being caught. Unless landed within a couple minutes. Water temps are too high and they can’t recover. Catch and release for them is a death sentence. If you’re going to fish for skams please catch your limit and go home.
No the root river is very shallow best bet is to go in winter to the root for steelhead there are very few tributaries in wi that hold summer steelhead and few and far between.
I was planning to start fishing with eggs, what would you recommend. I’ve heard people use both salmon and steelhead eggs. idk what’s better. Id have to buy some eggs from somehere but im not sure where to start or what to buy, is there anything you can recommend
I have been trying to get on steelhead the entire time I've lived in Michigan. Only landed little ones. If I never land a walleye again it will be too soon lol.
Many tributaries have great runs especially in the fall - I also caught some steeelhead and salmon from jetties and piers in the lake in Illinois, Michigan and Indiana - even in parks in Chicago (North Lagoon).
@@sbsoutdooraction3055 weird how you didn’t respond to the limit comment though. I’ve revived these fish no problem, because I have no need to take em out of the water. A life of enjoying steelhead fishing with 0 social media while guys like you post them for acceptance and I need to get a life. The world we live in is sad lol.
