Just took mine to Myrtle Beach from Northern Ohio,I’m riding a 2003 Heritage Softail Classic,I put two new plugs in her and had the three hole oil change, not one problem from this bike,it was a beautiful ride,Ride safe you guys!!
Great riding! Love that Mexican Hat location. We were coming the other way and stopped at the convenience store after crossing the river, grabbed a frosty cold one, then rounded the bend to Mexican Hat, there’s a little dirt/gravel turn in off the road, we pulled in for a TV-time out (lol), to wet our whistle and just gaze at how amazing that rock structure is. We then saddled and rode over to Cortez, then up to Telluride. You know one day, weather might just takes its toll over all the years, and Mexican Hat ends up on the ground! So we need to encourage everyone to go see it. It looks so fragile out there!
Good times for sure!! Always a good time rolling through Mexican Hat and Monument Valley and all that good stuff. We've taken the dirt road down to the viewpoint a handful of times, and that rock never disappoints...pretty crazy! And not a bad spot for a cold one haha. Indeed, gotta get people out there to see it! Thanks for watching🤘
Hey Guys! I've been following you guys for almost a year and you all inspired me to go to Sturgis this year. I am from Torrance, CA and bought a bag from you all a couple of months ago for my 2016 Street Glide that doubled as a backrest. It was amazing! I used a mixture of some of the routes you have shown on your videos to get there. Thank you for that because it was a great help and some of the most scenic places I've ever seen. Million Dollar highway for example! Just breath taking! I didn't get to Sturgis until Weds. Aug. 10th, but you guys had already left. I had a blast! Rode Spearfish Canyon, ate in Deadwood, and got to see Mt. Rushmore on my way home. Thanks for all you do! It is very helpful and informative!
What's up Route Rider, super stoked to hear that!! Glad you could use some of our routes for some direction along the way. Sounds like you did it right with plenty of scenery on the way. All the fun is in the journey anyway. Sorry we missed ya, but hope to see you next year. Thanks for the support 🤘
Thanks for the kind words, Jeff!! If you like documentary style videos, check out our Route 66 Legacy Series! Lots of great history throughout. Josh (green road king) edits all of the videos, glad you're enjoying the show!
Nice video guys. Both my parents and sister and her husband's eternal resting places are in Kingman. I have visited alot and even lived there for a year. Spent alot of time in Williams and fishing with my Dad up at Dogtown lake. Now we live under the Texas sky.
Thanks for watching, Mark! For the longest time, we simply passed through Kingman, then we ended up staying for a few days to capture some of the history along Route 66 and talk to the locals. A truly special place with lots of hidden gems throughout.
My riding partner bought Green 305 Honda scrambler to repaint. But instead of painting entire tank, we put yellow flames over the green, an we loved it!
Amazing content as always fellas, thank you! Every video y'all inspire me to get on two wheels and explore the two lanes. I'm from Europe, but my Texan girlfriend and I hope to one day move (back) to the US. Can't wait to explore the most beautiful country on earth and hopefully run into y'all someday in Sturgis, God bless! On a side note, love the shared content with Thrashin. What a blessing to be able to share those moments with your son! Can't wait for the Sturgis 22 videos.
Thanks for the support, Bob!! We're glad we could inspire some travel on the 2Lanes. We hope y'all can make it back here, maybe we'll catch ya in Sturgis next year. Ride safe! 🤘
Hell yea, Chad!! That's what we like to hear!! Glad you had a great time out there, and that we could inspire some travel on the open road. Ride safe out there 🤘
ENVIOUS! i so love your channel. this whole trip has been so inspiring, educational, just can't put into words how thankful i am for doing these video's. The Dakota's, Utah is absolutely spectacular!! i used to worry about going cross country solo on a motorcycle. I live in Florida, going solo and running into some bad people, tent camping, break downs, all that good stuff. but watching your road trips, i can,t hardly wait until next May. if i could break my lease and not get sued, i would be packing today for the journey. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!! oh yeah, I AM ENVIOUS!!
Thanks a ton for all of the support, David!! Having all of those different aspects of this trip made it very enjoyable for us as well! While maybe a little rushed through Utah to make it to Kingman, we still got to ride through some of our favorite areas. There's more good than bad out there, just gotta be prepared for whatever comes your way. See ya on the next vid!
Next time you’re coming west towards Moab, you gotta get off at Cisco and take the scenic byway to Moab. It’s only 10-15 extra minutes but the canyon ride is worth it every time
Sorry I missed you guys I just got back from sturgis Monday and I will be heading back up next week to help my friend keep the great content coming gentlemen.
Every time y’all roll through southern Utah or northern Arizona I get a little jealous. I love that area and the footage y’all provide gives me so much inspiration to get out and ride. Keep up the great work and I’m looking forward to the 2LaneLife/Thrashin Sturgis 2022 run. 🤘
Gotta get out there, Darrell!! Something truly special about Northern AZ and Southern Utah for sure. See ya next week for the start of the Sturgis series!!🤘
I was in those mountains on my motorcycle when VW bug passed me. I sped up to 125-130 mph matching his speed when we both stopped arrest area (picnic table an pot a potty). Do you know how fast you were going? Nah, speedo broke miles back! As he cracks open 2 Coors from ice chest in passengers seat. That beer was best tasting beer I've ever had!
The first and last time I was in Williams AZ, I had left Tucson only wearing shorts, tank top, and sandals. When I got to Williams, there was snow on the ground. Williams is a cool old town.
That's how it goes sometimes!! We've had the same experience a handful of times. Pretty cool rolling into town with snow on the ground, especially during the holiday season when they have the tree and lights up in the center of town. Gotta love Williams!
Really like to ride these areas. Always the best to have some serious time to really explore those beautiful back roads. They never disappoint! Well heck, even blasting down the Highway isn’t too bad either. I think we can all identify with the light hands dark arms tan lines. 🤪 Thanks for taking the time to put this together and share with us. Really enjoy watching you guys. 👊🏼🤙🏼
Agreed!! Nothing like those beautiful rock formations throughout the day, seeing the changes along the way. We hope to make it back out there sometime soon to spend some time exploring vs blasting through, but sometimes ya gotta do what ya gotta do! The tan lines are just a part of the game haha. Thanks for watching, Bobby! Glad you enjoyed it👍
Jealous... 63 years old, want to do what you guys do, on a new 2022 Honda Africa Twin Adventure Sport ES. You guys stoke the fire! Maybe put some Panniers and Bags on it. Love what you and Lance/ Juan -ThraShin gear did for Sturgis ride this year.
Good stuff, Randy!! Those Africa Twins are badass!! As Lance has come to learn, if you plan on off-road adventures, some soft bags may be the go-to vs hard panniers. Thanks for tuning in, our Sturgis ride series starts next week 🤘
Another great one guys!. You've got me all wound up for my trip in a couple of weeks Austin to El Paso to meet up with a great friend. We'll tour southern New Mexico and then run back to Austin. I love all of Utah and will always cherish riding through there with my son. You're the best!
Not sure how you guys can pull off a 700 mile + day. We are heading back from Sturgis to San Fran on our Road Glide, the longest stretch so far was Casper to Salt Lake (412 or so miles), damn near killed us…. Another 300 miles in a day, that’s impressive.
We usually take our time with 350-550 mile days on the way out on a trip, but sometimes we just like to burn back and get some 700-800 consecutive days in to be home in 2-3 days depending on where we're at. With the way our bikes are setup to our liking, the extra stretch doesn't seem to make a huge difference. Thanks for watching, Bruce 👍
I have 101,000 miles on my ‘12 Ultra Limited. I need to get out to CA. Been to UT, NV, ID, OR, WA, MT, WY, ND and SD so CA is obviously next! My son wants to do the pacific coast highway. Maybe next summer!
That's what we like to see, Emery!! Sounds like you've checked most of the must-see states off the list, but yes PCH is a ride for the books. Tons of other great riding out here too. Ride safe 👍
Great video! This one shows how strong these bikes are by how many miles and how hard you put them to the pace lots of oil changes for sure,,,,, stay safe out there guys
Y’all have definitely played a part of my next trip! Me and the wife are about to hit the road on two wheels to Maine from Indiana. We leave this Saturday and couldn’t be more excited about the adventure it will hold for us! Hope i can meet y’all one of these days and shake your hands.
Wow, that's awesome to hear!! There's some incredible riding in between there, so looks like you two have a great adventure ahead! We hope to see ya down the road at some point. Thanks for all of the support, ride safe😎
Great series guys ,Looking forward to be heading to Doolin motorcycle fest in Ireland next week maybe not weather you guys get 😂😂😂 thanks for inspiration 👍🏴
We enjoy your videos, great quality.. We have a question: Q/ WHAT SEAT BRAND AND MODELS DO YOIU TWO USE? WHAT would YOU RECCOMEND ? BTW: WE RIDE DOUBLE.. I purchased a 2021 Road Glide limited last September, we love it but the seat kills why butt after about an hour.. My other Harley I've ridden for 20 years is fine with the Harley seat, I have ridden a 1994 Heritage Softail classic, with a 100 inch engine, Thank you very much for your time, keep the videos coming.. Sincerely, Ronald.
Thanks for the support, Ronald!! We rock Saddlemens. For solo rides, Either the Slim or Step-Up Tour. For 2-up riding with our wives, we use the Road Sofa. The Step-Up Tour is what Josh uses for both solo touring as well as day rides with a passenger. The passenger seating area is 9" wide on the Step-Up tour and 11" wide on the Road Sofa. We're in the process of putting out our signature seat line with Saddlemen as well, which has some improvements and unique styling if that's something you're interested in. If you have any other specific questions, feel free to shoot an email to info@2lanelife.com and we'll get you covered. Thanks! 2Lane X Saddlemen Seats 2lanelife.com/search?q=highwaymen+seats
Your arms feeling like they went through dust bowl is reason my grandma got me new Levi's an mom got me new long sleeved t-shirts & shirts with dad getting me leather gloves for Christmas. Now I see they weren't thinking so much about my bikes but my safety! 1400 miles in 2 days, give us some details.gallons needed, total fuel costs, top speed, average speed, how many hrs in saddle for those 2 days, etc..?
Hey there! Every 8-10k miles depending on how long upcoming rides are. We ride the Dunlop American Elites which can easily go further than that, but given the amount of miles we do in less than ideal weather conditions, it's nice to have fresh tread for good grip and handling. Missed you guys in sturgis, got 3100 miles in on trip, Boise, Idaho, Jackson,Dubois,Sturgis, Great Falls, Glacier Park and back to Boise thru Lolo pass. How do I get a patch ?
Dang!! Sounds like you did it right! We're hoping to make it through Glacier Park sometime soon. We usually throw patches and stickers in with orders, so the easiest way would probably be to get something small like a shirt, hat or gloves, and we'll throw a couple in there for ya. Thanks for the support!
@@roscoecrawford6442 Thanks Roscoe!! Got it all packaged up with some patches and stickers in there. We'll get it headed your way tomorrow. See ya down the road 😎
Thanks for watching! On long days where we're moreso trying to get to our destination rather than sight-seeing, we'll stop every ~200 miles or whenever we need more gas.
