@@SeanC1959 funny how it's a big country but like anything if you chop it up into bite size pieces it ain't that bad... and each day break down into bite size pieces too. No doubt your ride will bring back all the great memories for you and spur you on
Its awesome seeing how you're getting more and more comfortable on the camera and finding your rhythm. Loving the trip so far and can't wait to see more of your adventure!!
I love the videos. Living vicariously through your trip. I did a similar trip 20yrsrs ago on a XJ900. There is so much to see in the land of OZ. Keep up the great work.
I've found you day 9 where the real adventure is. Chieftain limited rider here did uluru from Brisbane triangle in 2019 with some mates. It's a bloody amazing country when you get out and see it. Safe journey and hope you don't have to do any causeway river crossings.
@scottrubie6826 I could spend the next 10 years on outback roads... it's taken a hold of me, not looking forward to rolling back to a city, bloody rat races! Even Geelong feels like a rat race now! Stay safe ✌️
Hey buddy.. good one , bringing back some great memories. I have a 2018 RM Elite.. have d9ne 2 laps of Australia. All video as well...124.000klms in 5 years.. 22 was my last one.. enjoy the outback there is nothing like it.. ride safe and c u out there..
@digbysdownunder bloody oath... I was going to talk about that in the next video about to drop... a lot of places to avoid, being warned by locals everywhere I roll too
@johnmech4617 thanks, kinda learning as I roll. It's a gopro Hero 12 black. I have a jaws claw (around $60) which is awesome and grips onto just about anything. After 6,000km it finally snapped on me with all the twisting so just bought another one yesterday. Footage is standard 30fps but I'm messing with that for new footage at 60fps. Go the jaws and gopro, don't need anything other than that ✌️
Back when I insisted on wearing a half face helmet in the late 80s,early 90s,i was getting a sun burnt face. I thought it a clever idea to put zinc cream across my face. I got a few k down the road and ran into a cloud of midges. I then had numerous midges squirming, stuck in the zinc cream. 😂. Bugger that. Another year after that, a bee sting on my face while using the half face left me with a swollen face, blinded in one eye from swelling for about a day and I can confirm your spatial awareness while riding with one eye working is a problem. I switched to full face helmets after that. Working with brain injured people helped my decision as well, regarding the switch to full face. But, each to their own. Enjoy the trip. 👍🇦🇺
@Hipporider haha yes those stories are familiar. Windscreen on this bagger has made a world of difference. I have several helmets... this ride started off as a one day ride and now I've ended up half way around the country..... I have a moto x helmet with me now too... I just prefer to closed face and still get good protection. Stay safe ✌️
@gregjameson2141 I didn't and I'm spewing because some of the best nights have been at the locals pubs. Having said that I'm heading back to that region before the end of the year again
