Another week and another classic section of the AZT. There may be some, but I haven't ridden a section that I didn't enjoy. As much as I wanted that handsome doggo to join the squad, I don't think he would have been able to hang with Alex's relentless sprinting. Some say they have never seen him sit. If you ever find yourself near Payson / Pine AZ, this makes for a nice out and back to the first highpoint, with a loop at the end. It's basically a slightly downhill pumptrack. If you jump over the sharp things and push your bike into the ground, the speed generates itself. If you are Alex Petitdemange, you generate extra watts for bonus points.
