Hello. Japan is famous for the righteous "samurai," "bushido," "ninja," "shogun," and "Zatoichi" who avenge evil, but there are also "hissatsu shigotonin" who assassinate unforgivable evil people.

Japan has a maglev train that is faster than the Shinkansen. Construction has been delayed due to local issues, but the maximum speed will be over 500km/h. There have been no accidents caused by Shinkansen trains. By the way, Japanese taxis have had automatic doors since 1964.

The black object in your lunch box is a seaweed called ``hijiki.'' And what I was describing as noodles is an ingredient made from konnyaku potatoes called ``Ito Konnyaku.'' Both are traditional Japanese ingredients that are popular for their nutrients and healthy ingredients that are good for the body, and they are also delicious! Up until now, various people have introduced me to various parts of Japan, but the two of you have very interesting points of view (I mean this as a compliment). Please continue to send us fun reports. It's from a Japanese person. PS: Hijiki is a sweet and spicy dish that is cooked using soy sauce, sugar, sake, and mirin, and the name of the dish is ``hijiki-ni.'' It is a staple dish in Japanese cuisine. Ito Konnyaku is made by making a food ingredient called ``konnyaku'' from konnyaku potatoes, which is then shaped into long, thin strips. Konnyaku itself has almost no taste, so it is used in a variety of dishes. Popular examples include oden, sukiyaki, meat and potatoes, etc. It is a very healthy ingredient and is used as a substitute for wheat noodles (pasta, udon, ramen, etc.) in Europe and America.

Yesterday, I watched and left a comment on your last video and I am very happy to have come across your videos again today!😊💕 The black string-like food in the woman's lunch box is called hijiki, a traditional Japanese food that was already eaten in the Nara period (710-794). Hijiki is a type of seaweed, which is dried, watered down, fried in oil and then stewed in soy sauce, sugar and broth with fried tofu, soy beans, shiitake mushrooms and chicken meat. Drying makes it easier to preserve for a longer period of time and increases nutrition and flavour. It is rich in calcium, magnesium, iron, vitamins and dietary fibre, making it a very healthy food. The high fibre content makes it a particularly good food for people with constipation problems. Next to hijiki, a whitish, string-like food picked up with chopsticks is called shirataki. Shirataki was created in the Kanto region during the Edo period in the process of making konjac. Shirataki is made up of 97% water and 3% konjac, so it is characterised by its very low calorie content. It is sometimes used as a diet food among Japanese women. It is recommended for people (especially women) who are concerned about calories. In Japan, konjac is loved as an ingredient in "nabe-ryori" (hot pot dishes) and "oden" (oden), which are often eaten mainly during the cold season. As with the previous video, the explanations are very detailed and easy to understand, which I think will be very useful for people travelling to Japan in the future. I had a look at your channel, and I thought it was a great idea that you have travelled all over the world. The explanation of the ekiben (how it warms up when you pull the string), the historical information when explaining the Shinkansen, the shape of the lead car to avoid sonic booms when entering a tunnel, the explanation of the toilets in the car, etc. were all perfectly explained. I am very much looking forward to the next video!😉👍

"Look at all the space" said the woman so small she could star in Arietty, actual size! :p I wish I was smaller. At 188cm, which isn't enormous but above any country's average, I have yet to find a single bus or train that wasn't too small for me and directly uncomfortable. Is height reduction an option yet? :)

We did not get a discount unfortunately but we did pre book these tickets quite a while back. I see it is golden week in Japan so prices might be slightly higher

JR discriminates against Japanese, cz only foreigners can buy incredibly cheap deal of JR travel pass (including Shinkansen) which Japanese are not allowed to buy!!

But Shinkansen's Free WiFi is terribly bad. You can think its free WiFi doesn't work.

The maximum speed of the Tokaido Shinkansen from Tokyo to Shin-Osaka is 285km/h. There are many curves and tunnels, so safety and comfort are prioritized. The Tohoku Shinkansen from Tokyo to Sendai runs 320km. From Japan.
