Look in SAMs and Ali's back catalogues they have ridden together a few times can't think off hand of the name of the park they went but it has a load of trails features ,cable drums and logs etc all set up for trails.
I can't think of a single other rider who could keep my attention for 30 minutes. I love the old haunt tour, so great to see you easily conquer the old dream spots with such relative ease!
its very very rare that one gets to time travel and relive the fav childhood spots. My spots are almost all gone now, courtesy of urban development. Thank you for bringing us along.

This brings back memories. One of my dad's ex's lived in Hebden in one of the flats up the road from that Co-op. This was 16 years ago. Good times. Well, apart from the time my older brother stumbled across a "den" along a trail near there and stepped on a plank of wood with a big nail sticking out of it. That wasn't such a good time.

Good times mate I wish I stuck with trials. I started going pubs, had kids n grew up. Good times though looking for drops n sections out from 8am till way past dark. Keep riding Ali
Moved my pelvis out of place done nerve damage and plate damage only 3 weeks after getting back after my knee injury. So your videos will be a massive help once again cheers Ali
So strange seeing you ride this stuff. Lived in Todmorden/Hebden Bridge my whole life. Seen you out a few times too. A few times on the brakeless Hex and on the first red Hex. Used to ride mtb with Matt Greenwood too. He was telling me stories of when you were growing up together 😂 glad you stopped by mate 😊👍
@@RideBikes_WalkplacesAyup dude 🤙I don't have an mtb anymore I'm afraid mate. Stopped riding years ago as a most people I rode with stopped. Now I only have a little onza comp for playing around on which hardly gets used. I've often thought about getting another rig as my sister and her fella are well into it now! I need to save for buying a house though. Perks of growing up eh? 😑😒
I remember driving to Tod & seeing you practice at the bottom of your house (where the railway fence has wrecked it), and nearly crashing because I'd never really seen anyone good at trials. Just blew my mind!

This is such a great video. The expressions from the public are so entertaining to watch and you come across so well. So does Hebden Bridge cone to think of it! I appreciated you being honest about your feelings about riding the skate park, despite how competent you are.

I'm currently right in the stepest part of my progression and it's such a nice feeling when things were unthinkable a year ago are easy going right now 😅 Trials progression can be slow but it's soo rewarding if it finally works 😊 Great lines ali😊 those will definitely be unthinkable for me for the foreseeable future 😅
I went to Hebden Bridge a few months ago with my mrs and daughter on our bikes. with the intention of us riding back to Manchester along the canal. The girls couldn't handle it on their bikes and caught the train home at the next station. I made it back in one piece though. Knackered. The canal path was a mess with parts of it closed. Once i got passed Smithy Bridge, it was down hill all the way!

Loved this video! Made me very nostalgic about all the spots me and my mates used to ride in my old home town. Nothing takes me back like an old shin bashing too!! I still bare the scars!!
Great, watchable stuff. Thought it was funny when you @4:30 said how it had changed so much. No timber and more weeds is what i saw. I live in central London and there are skyscrapers now where there used to be fields ;)
My extended family is from Hebden and always a place I've felt a connected to through visiting them throughout my life, if not knowing it well myself. I'm just getting into MTB and stumbled across this - really appreciated the commentary and must've been a great experience for you to be able to revisit with all you've learnt. Nice one Ali.
