As the owner/rider of three regular pedal bikes, I find these e-bikes more attractive more each day. Sometimes...it gets hard riding up the steep hills on my way home. It's been over 50 years since I was blessed with my first dog...a dachshund, too. Good gosh...the fun we could've had with an e-bike like this! I hope you and Gus enjoy that bike for many years too come. Aloha!
I discovered NNKH and your channels a couple of months ago and since then I haven’t been able to tear myself away, you guys are so cool, I enjoy following your adventures. Great luck to you and Chris!
This is such a fun video, Jenn. For me, it brought back memories of when I was in high school and I would go on mountain biking adventures with my friends. From the bicycle breakdowns to the people we would meet, we always had a great time :)
Helmets are a must, I was in a pretty bad accident... my $16.00 saved my head from serious injuries! I road away sour , but unhurt!!!! Wear a helmet!!!!!!! ⛑️
Been riding motorcycles for 60yrs, always wear a helmet 😱😢 . Like your guys channels and LOVE the little hound. Sure miss my little Brutus, been gone a few years now but I miss him every day 😢 😔
Interesting, after seeing all your video's Jennifer, this one is close to my heart, as I have a Himiway as well, albeit mine is the step-thru Cruiser, but looks very much like yours. I have 2500 trouble free miles on mine now, albeit it took me two years to do it. One fellow, on one of the Himiway Facebook groups, as over 20,000 miles on his Himiway, so you've got a lot of catching up to do! I just went for a 40+ mile ride on mine yesterday, where it took 5 hours of battery charging this morning to get back to full charge! A ton of fun, but be careful, as often cars can be your enemy, in not watch out for YOU! Be safe, and hope to see much more riding in future video's. Oh, by the way, there is a way to change your pedal assist, all the way up to 9, albeit I have mine at 7, which I find to work well for me. RU-vid video's can show you the way on many updates/upgrades if you so wish! I do suggest a 'good' lock, as e-bikes are being stolen big time these days, so never let it out of your sight!
Love the bike, the pup, the girl, the style of the video, the music, the scenery, the whole nnkh / JS you-tube journey. It satisfies so many of our interests. Dont ever stop!
Oh Jen if you rode that bike here in Victoria Australia you would be fined by the police.....Your not wearing a helmet!!😳🪖⛑ Nice bike well done Jennifer.
You and Gus are both adorable. I watch NNKH all the time. I have an adorable Shi Tsu here in Kelowna British Columbia Canada. I have a Kawasaki 900 Vulcan classic with a pet carrier bag on it for my dog Bucko
Bikes like this verge on mopeds since they have a mode where motor operates without pedal input. Before buying check the laws applying to this kind of bicycle in your area as some jurisdictions do class them as "motorcycles" and not bicycles. This bike looks and sounds like a Class 4 E bike. One other comment, the wheels appear to be mounted with quick releases, ie lever clamped into an open bottom fork. Standard bicycle makers discovered decades ago that disk brakes can torque the wheel out of an open ended fork if the wheel is 'slightly' loose and have shifted to wheel mounts with closed ends and an axle that screws into place. This bike may have some sort of auxiliary clamp on the end of the axle, not clear. But the Chinese manufacturer is pretty well protected against liability for this design flaw and only the distributor in the US at risk.
It's good to see you uploading more content. I missed you during the time you weren't uploading videos. I like it when You and Chris include Gus and Turbo. 😀
The astonishing bewildered look of Gus was breaking me up😅 Great looking bike! I wonder if you have to weary of where you plug in the bike as does it have the circuitry for not overcharging to prevent battery fires??
hey Jen. I did not buy a Himiway but I got a 750w fat tire ebike. My bride does not want me to get a motorcycle at 60yr old so this is my compromise. Give Gus some love form us
I've got the step over Zebra and I get around 32 miles per charge as I use pedal assist 3 to 5 most of the time. Lighter riders using lower settings might get 40 miles on a good day. Nice bikes
Hola Jeny soy de Argentina de Posadas Misiones quiero agradecerte por tus videos estoy pasando depresión gracias por ño que haces sos un ser de luz y te animo a que sigas así.Me devolviste ñas ganas de vivir. GRACIAS
Good afternoon 🌞 Jen I think 🤔 you should be able to get it put together maybe 🤔 Gus can help you out so you and Gus can go to the dog 🐶 park you and Gus have some fun 🤩 at the dog 🐩 park you have a good afternoon 🌞 😢🎉🎉❤❤
Nice ride! I just bought my 2nd Himiway. Have had the original Himiway Cruiser for 3 years, and it still kicks butt (takes a licking & keeps on ticking). Today was my 2nd ride on my new Himiway A7 Pro. I had thought about the Zebra D5 Pro, too, but my buddy talked me into the A7. Hope you enjoy your D5... you will.
I purchased an e bike on Amazon that has the 750 watt motor and a 60 mile range with 21 speeds for $300.00. I purchased a walkthrough for the wife with 500 watt motor for around the same price. They are not super expensive but both have held up well and had no issues!
@JenniferSugint2 great video - that path is amazing! Does the bike have any special features for preventing it from being stolen? Or maybe partially stolen (like taking the battery). Gus is awesome - have you found a doggy chiropractor yet - we've had a few doxies and they really benefited from chiropractic treatments because their backs are infamously troublesome.
You will get a better idea of the average range with some usage. The announced range is always exaggerated. For example, my bike is supposed to have 100 miles (160 km) of range, but I never got close to that. From my experience, 60 miles would be my max range.
I actually love it. I have another one on the way that’s a different himiway model. Not sure exactly what the model is yet, but I’ll be reviewing it in the next couple of weeks.
Ok, I want one. I grew up riding without a helmet, but I know better now......😊. Gus is adorable and our girl Dixie jumped at the TV seeing Gus in action at the dog park....he seems quite social.
Knowing Pennsylvania, the land of taxes. Expect yearly license plate registration and mandatory bike insurance. But beyond that, it’s a very nice ride.
