Long Beach here...Just stumbled across your videos... LOVE THEM!! It amazes me how much LA has changed for the better, back iin the 80's and 90's you would have NEVER been able to roll through some of those neighborhoods without being put on check (at the very least)... I think LA has swapped it's out-of-control gang problem for a stinkier yet more peaceful homeless problem.
HNY from Canada. I turned a Norco VPS Atomik into a Sleeper Surron, (well more community named than what I chose for it; Term of endearment), and I get the same enjoyment as you do on your Surron. I plan to acquire a 72V Battery soon to help maximize my DIY kit's full potential which I will be be indulging in the same amount of excitement as you currently experience. There's no thrill like riding gas free for prolong periods of time and seeing so much more of the area than you would in a gas operated vehicle.

I mean, Surrons just really shouldn’t exist given current infrastructure. They’re too small for moto trails, they fuck up mtb trails, and they’re not class 1s so they don’t even belong on most bike infrastructure. In the city, I’d take the scooter.
26:28 Try Pit Vipers, you can totally pull them off. I live in PA and do not have goggles but in our recent blizzard I street rode with no helmet on my 150 SSR and somehow they deflected the snow and hail just as good as goggles with half the effort of having them fit
What's up John, I recently came back to Your channel after a while, I really enjoy Your films. I always wanted visit LA, and here in Poland is hardcore winter now, so I can see Cali sun a bit through the screen ;). But it very sad view, all that homlesness, and dirt, it's a shame on city politics, that can't handle this and help those people. And as I know it's for years... Yo! @johnhicksfilm try adding Flat Out off road tire Sealant I have it on all my Super 73 bikes it’s way better then slime. Haven’t had a flat over a year on all 10 along with a Tire Liner. Now I have it on my E-Ride Pro SS..
I used cling tint on my full helmet face shield. U just cut it to size and stick it in place. Remove it when it gets dark. Or u can also get a dirt bike helmet with a visor.
Yeah it's strangely addictive, as soon I click on one of those videos I watch through through the whole thing. And I have a very short attention span on YT otherwise

To answer your question about glare and sunglasses for your full face... There is a company called Havoc Racing, they make sunglasses that look pretty similar to motocross goggles. That might help keep you from getting laughed at. Polarized lenses would help reduce the glare, which they provide on their glasses. I'd probably suggest looking at the z87 model. I just started thinking about a really old episode of In Living Color when, I think it was Damon Wayans, was playing a homeless guy and he was showing how he used spit to add extensions to his cardboard house.
You need a different platform for your uncut versions and just stay on RU-vid with your cut versions. People really wanna see the raw footage as if they were the ones riding the bike. Great videos, Fam! Edit: The uncut versions can be behind a paywall on another platform to help build this main channel even more.
I ride with a full face helmet and sunglasses! I've never noticed anyone talking trash...lol. But, maybe I'm just clueless..lol. Try using polarized sunglasses, that may help reduce the glare for you. 🤙
