Riding my Pranayama with the Karma Wheels. To my surprise it's really completely bite free. The TKPs articulate perfectly on the Pranayama.
It's a joy to ride. Not much better than the Speedvents, but easily as good!

I have the Pranayama and rode it for half a year with Speed Vents (Mango, 78.5A), then recently tried the Karmas. My perception is that the Karmas have slightly less roll resistance than the Speed Vents - but only on very smooth surfaces. Yet, they are noticably harder and less dampening. On slightly rough surfaces and when surpassing the occasional edge (i.e., in the city), the Speed Vents have a superior all round performance in my eyes.

The Karmas are actually softer at 74a :D but I have both of them too, check the lips on the speedvents, they feel way softer than the Karmas! But I see your perspective. Still the speedvents are truly great wheels! Thanks for sharing!

@@skate-horizons I know the polyurethane itself is softer on the Karmas. Yet they also have a larger core, i.e., thinner polyurethane layer than the Speed Vents. And, as you say, the extended lips on the Speed Vents add to that. 👍

i don't know how TKPs and RKPs actually feel different and i don't really have the means to ride either. is the prana ok on gentle hills (just for riding around, not bombing down etc) or is the trip better?

Prana is even fine on steeper hills, I mean people bomb hills on a regular skateboard. RKP is preferred but not mandatory. You will love the pranayama ;)

I've been deciding between a pranyama vs a trip to have something more portable but have only riden the rkp trucks on my supersonic, would u recommend the pranyama with karma wheels over a trip if I still have some hills on my commute? The prana looks easy to steer on one foot!

Hey, for hills, always RKP over TKP. That should not mean, that you cant but its preferred! The Tkps on the Pranayama feel very playful, what I like, but the trip is the more functional longboard!

I have both boards but don't have Karma wheels, I have what came stock at the time on them both. McFly's on Pran and Caguama on the Trip. As much as I love my Trip I will say for running around on city streets the Pran feels more nimble and responsive to small inputs and is fun even on river trails if you like to carve about. I haven't done any real steep hills on either but I don't think you should ever feel like you're missing out if you chose the Pran. It's been every bit as stable on what I ride but does handle more sporty than the trip.

@@ONEBADZ That checks out. Paul Kent used the trip for his ultra Trips. I think the RKPs have a little more reliable behaviour!

Helo Michael, what do you think, i am a heavy rider 110kg, dit you think this wheels work great with my wight or is this wheel to soft for my wight and use better harder wheels 77a-80a? greetings

Hey there, I wouldn't worry about weight on those wheels. They will feel pretty good regardless! As Long as the deck and Bushings are decent you are gonna be fine!

Ah man, I just had them on another Deck :D But I managed to do it anyway ;) The Deck itself is 1575g. One Truck is 1754g (Truck+bushings+Hardware+ 2 Wheels 278g each) 3723g is the complete weight for this setup in the Video ;)

It's not completely bite-free. I have the exact same setup. It can bite. I think I'm gonna switch to Speed Vents because of that.

I know what you mean, at the extremes, its still possible. Not Something you are likely gonna get from a mini cruiser.

@@skate-horizons It depends on the individual I guess. I like my boards carvy. Right now I'm running Riptide double street cones; 87.5a roadside, 90a boardside. It gets close enough in some carves to make me nervous and I can even make the board stop if I really dig into a carve. That's why I'm considering Speed Vents to ease my mind. Someone who runs harder bushings or even barrels may not need to worry.

Sand the board down a bit then clear coat it. Fixed.
