Riding on the lower deck of Seaton & District Tramways tramcar No.2. I boarded the tram at the Riverside Halt and travelled north, to Colyton. Only part of the ride is shown - the best way to see it all is as a passenger on a tram!
Thank you for the reply as I had no idea. I do wonder however if some trams can travel faster than others - especially the new build trams - 9, 10, 11, as these are relatively modern
@@CitytransportInfoplus They are all capable of more, but 12mph is the typical line running speed. In terms of power, 15 would be the fastest on the line. The rest would all be about the same once they get going, as most have similar power-weight ratios.
I've only ever known this as an electric tramway. When I make a film showing trams at Seaton station I will be including some footage from the 1990s, so many people will think that I must also be old.
@@CitytransportInfoplus 1990s, I must have first gone to Seaton station in the late 1950s or early 60s. We used to stay at an aunt's holiday cottage in Axmouth and would travel down from London and change at Seaton junction and then onto Seaton.
