It was fab to see you again Phil. You’re right these get togethers are too infrequent. Unfortunately life and physical distance get in the way. Let’s hope it’s not too long until next time!
Welcome to Germany and a place just 1 hr away from where I live. I love the Pfälzer Wald, however, do not know these secret trails. But they are amazing. Thanks for your extraordinary video, had so much fun watching. And I am talking to Jay re a future ride out together ;-)
Oh wow, seems like those were some really good trails Darren. How cool to have two personal guides to show you this great place. I was amazed at how good the grip was in places, but some sections looked very slippery. Great riding as always mate. Thanks for sharing and have a great evening🤙
Oh yeah Darren, I loooove this natural goodness ( 4:04 ) 🤩 This is what Enduro is like or should be like. Thank you very much for taking us here with you! I also think the camera view is so perfect. You can still see the handlebars / tires, but also a lot of the trail. Cheers 🤙Hitsch
Cheers Dave. The more contacts I make, the more I realize how much amazing riding there is to be had out there, even in places we don’t immediately associate with biking.
You can see a lot of work went into these secret trails in Germany, difficult to keep up with local riders knowing the area so well but great fun had by all none the less, handy having a couple of guides skillfully ridden thanks for sharing Darren 😁🤙
I was amazed by the amount of work that had been put into these trails. They all ran so well despite the damp conditions. Having the boys to show me around was great, having someone to follow really helps you get the most out of a ride when you just have one day to spend somewhere.
Weeell, it is not like they are our home trails exactly, we are only guests ourselves over there - and have ridden those trails like 2 or 3 times before (if that). They are definitely absolutely amazing, but not the only great trails in our greater vicinity - might be one of the reasons why we dont ride there every week 😅 Anyway, you made a really well put together video out of that awesome ride! Loved watching every minute of it, and actually those 17min went by REALLY fast - sure sign for a good video! Loved the short zoom in bit on my creek gap fail/save 😂 Btw with the conditions being far from perfect - imagine this in dry and sunny weather... 🤩
Thanks Jay. As always, I was unsure about making such a long video, but in the end there was so much good riding on that day, I just couldn’t decide what to leave out. I’m definitely keen to visit again and check out some more of your great locations 😉
@@TrailTrackerSwitzerland yep, totally understandable! I would say it is a sign of a day full of great trails when it turns out to be that hard to try and keep it short 😁 Yes, please! Would love to welcome you (guys) again, hopefully this year!!!
These trails look incredible! Perfect to watch with the afterwork beer. I ride mainly "secret" trails and I know the frustration of not giving their locations. However since we ride them, this means people are still sharing (talking) 😉.
Thanks Jay. I’m really torn on the topic of secret trails. I fully understand why people build them and want to keep them secret, but at the same time I think it’s mostly a symptom of a lack of proper MTB infrastructure that is so frustrating. As you say though, word of mouth is a powerful tool 😉
They certainly are far off what we ride here. I've been loading some ride videos on my new channel. I've got a couple there from Sedona and will get the Moab one up shortly. Have a look. If you are coming out to BC again let me know and we can ride together! I'm planning to ride in the Nelson area as soon as my ribs heal up. Video to come soon.:)
The regulations might be very restrictive, but there’s a really strong scene with some amazing riding. We might be blessed with the access we have to a massive network of hiking trails in Switzerland, but I’d love to have more of these sorts of trails.
