Last day in Washington, DC, riding from Maryland to Washington, DC along the Anacostia River trails. It's a unified and signed system of stream valley trails along the Anacostia River. I was surprised to see so much greenery and open land so near the center of Washington, DC. If you're visiting DC with your bike and you have some extra time, I recommend riding it.

Love the greenery! Love seeing the boardwalk piece along the water there after the display train car you passed.

Great way to use extra time. I could have taken the metro to get to the station but opted to ride, glad I did.

Another nice ride, Thomas! It must be frustrating when you find a part of the trail closed. Good thing it wasn't a bad detour and that the trail was greener than you expected! We think of you in our travels whenever we cross bike paths!

Nice trail network and awesome ride for you. I was noticing how the fence hung over the path creating a green tunnel of vegetation. Pretty cool was to add some shade. Neat to see the turtle. The river edge sections of trail I might be tempted to stop and fish! I hope that train crossing the bridge was not your train. I think it left you! LOL. Nice adventure. Have a great day.

DC has a nice bike trail network. I'm gonna do some more riding there in July on the way to Cleveland. That fence was the golf course fence and the train was actually a Metro train, some sections are above the ground. I took that on the way to my friend's house but opted to ride my bike back instead of the Metro train, glad I did. Thanks for watching and have a great day!

My son rides the rail trails in Pennsylvania. But, he is looking at riding the Erie Canal Rail trail from Buffalo to Syracuse, NY.

DC has an amazing bike trail system. I have ridden many of them over the years. The route you took looks complicated. I tried to follow on the map but could only make out a few key points like the airport. Always enjoy watching your videos!

This is part of the bike route to NY City (East Coast Greenway route concept), although 80% is road riding and a bus ride across a highway bridge..one of my next few rides
