What you're seeing is a 1971 Arctic Cat King Kat 800, with the original Hirth 793 triple engine. It still has the sweet retro paint from the 70's! No koffee table here, I swear I saw Duane getting some air under the skis while out in the field, haha.
The second sled is my 1980 John Deere Liquifire, with a 151" x 2" track and a rotax 670 engine. Glasspacks fo life!
Thanks to Jeff for taking the video!

Lots of beautiful old iron.

I always rode Arctic cats, but of the 2 , I'd take the Liquifire, more practical. The 20 year old me would take the King Kat with chrome expansion chamber tuned pipes.

Back in Ontario many years ago a guy bought a King Cat and use to rip down the street we lived on. Every time he would get close to our house that thing would disrupt the only channel we had on TV (channel 2) and drive my dad off the deep end because it mess Hockey Night In Canada. We would laugh our asses off. Good memory.

Nice going TCTS! Maybe the next time I'll be there if we have snow. Also maybe you can block the comments section out to keep the trolls away. Duane has a huge collection and has been in the hobby for almost fifty years. His dad sold Skiroule and Cat. This get together he tries to have every year there is snow, is done to promote fellowship in this hobby, not who's dog is biggest. I wish there were more like this!

Hey Glen! Yeah, Duane's get togethers are all about having a good time with good friends, wish more events had the same attitude and atmosphere. The comment section can get get rough at times, I've gotten good at ignoring stuff, haha.

Damn that thing rips, I’ll be honest if you still had that ol’ Deere I could find it a nice home. Awesome seeing those old things move

Still got the deere, but plan to keep it. Got a FAST pipe and a few other things to tune to make it rip harder.

KingKat? Of what? Sure as hell not trails. My father used to eat these for breakfast on Yamaha SRX440's in XC races and SSR440's on the oval tracks. They're fast in a straight line but didn't handle for shit. They do sound good though. Now before AC fans jump all over me, I ride a 2017 Arctic Cat ZR6000R SX race sled. I've owned two other AC race sleds and loved em. Owned a Polaris Pro XR 440, Pro XR 800, IQ 440 and IQR 600 and one Ski Doo MXZ 600 RS. So even though my father raced Yamaha's and owned a Yamaha dealership, I'm not brand loyal. I ride what I like. The 04 Pro XR 800 was my fav though. That sled just looked fast....and was.

Mike Marrello I've seen that video and that's not an SSR 440. Notice how the King Cat can barely make the corners?

Jason Jaeger I wouldn't say barely, not the smoothest I'll give you that. You also have to also consider how easily it walked away in the straits. It's litteraly a sledge hammer of power. Pretty sure that's why it's a King Kat.

Mike Marrello They were fast in a straight line for sure, but never liked the 70's n 80's AC's. When the ZR580 came out I changed my mind though. Alot of good AC sleds out there, all the SnoPro snocross sleds, the 105hp F5(not the 85hp pig) the F7, ZR500, ZR900, many great sleds. That's why I'm not brand loyal, I ride a sled and like it, I'll sell mine and buy it. It was pretty funny how quick he'd pass that guy on the straights though!
