In this segment of DIRT TRAX CLASSICS, Luke and Vern head to the beautiful state of California to witness Yamaha sponsored racer Dustin Nelson race ATVs at the infamous Glen Helen Raceway.
Then, the three riders head over to the legendary Rubicon Trail located west of Lake Tahoe to traverse through some incredibly technical terrain on board Yamaha Grizzly's.

Several years ago I did a guided trip with some freinds. We were provided 300cc Arctic Cat quads. We ran in from the Lake Tahoe side, down to Rubicon Springs, turned around and went back up. Our guides told us that the lower section is a bit harder. That being said, the little 300cc machines were fine.

Would have been better with a Polaris ;-) Definitely looks like an awesome trail to go on! I have spent some time in Cali, it really is a beautiful place, much like Colorado....but New York is home and there is some good riding to do there. You guys should come down to Newton Falls NY and do the Newton Falls ATV Run! You would get a taste of a little of everything and be riding in the Adirondack Park.

come to northern ontario soon we got a ton of trails and they test you out on every skill and they are just a ton of fun, if you ever do come out please let me know i would love to ride with your crew

You guys need to come ride Windrock park in Oliver Springs Tn. They have a very large variety of trails, from high speed fire roads to massive boulders and creek beds. Would love to take you guys on a ride with us!

so what that video a tour of California or a tour of Yamaha?? I understand they sponsor the show but don't say your doing a tour and only hit 2 places. We have so many riding areas.

California is a mecca for everything awesome: except a lack of liberty, and sky high taxes, and unbridled illegal immigration, ect. It really is a beautiful state that offers a little bit of everything. Truly a shame the state government has ruined it as a place to live.

Come on... I know Yamaha sponsored this, but with the title of the the video, I expected more actual trail video. This was a 12 minute video with better than 7 minutes of a Yamaha commercial. Don't mind fulfilling sponsor requirements, but make the video a few minutes longer to be able to show the actual trail video.

so if they did a ride on a can am then the next week they do one on a honda does that mean every atv manufacturer sponsors them. It seems like what ever they review there are people in the comments that automatically think they are just sponsored.

No, it doesn't. There are clear times when they ride and aren't sponsored. Take the Alaska video. They were on Polaris and didn't make it into a commercial. The reviews aren't sponsored, clearly. In the past, they have made videos that are sponsored and have some sort of a disclaimer.

why wouldn't you do the Rubicon trail on a Rubicon? like I know its sponsored by Yamaha but you should have gotten sponsorship with Honda to ride this, missed out on an opportunity
