February ride through the North Georgia Mountains with my new Insta360 One X2 Camera Insta360 One X2 www.insta360.com $432 total price with motorcycle bundle
Looks like a great ride. You have just the right mix of wind & motor background noises. Video & audio quality is great. I see NC Stoney videos are back up. Hope he puts out a ride video soon. Ride safe and keep the great rides coming.
Thanks for the nice comments. It has taken me several years of trial and error to get the audio and video just right. It is good to see NC Stoney back. He and I are meeting for a ride in early May. I’ll film some of the rides and get his handsome mug back on RU-vid!
For the first time ever, RU-vid actually showed a relevant to me ad - Triumph Motorcycles! That 360 camera is mounted perfect as it shows up and over your shoulder to spy on the folks that drive close enough to read your VIN. 😄
New subscriber here. I just got myself a new Heritage Classic (black on black) and while looking for videos from other people who have the same bike I came across your channel. So far I like the content, and will be sure to check out more of your videos. It makes me look forward to getting out and recording more rides myself. Take care and stay safe.
Thanks for watching and subscribing. Glad you enjoy the videos. I know you will love your new Heritage. Thanks again and I look forward to seeing some of your rides.
I could not have told you where either of those counties are. But I know 136. Ga 136 begens (or ends based on your perspective) two and a half miles from my house, when it crossed in to Alabama an becomes Al 71 on Sand Mountain. Two miles after the state line, you come to a T junction. If you take a right, 12.5 miles later (now in Tn) at the foot of the mountain, you hit another T junction right at Nickajack lake on the Tn river. Litterally. If you blow through that stop sign your going swimming, assuming you clear the railroad tracks. Someone actually did that in a tractor-trailer last month. Ice in his brake lines. Before 136 was cut across lookout mountain, there was no way to get from here to any other county in Georgia without first leaving the state. One of several reasons we are called the Independent State of Dade, and debatabilly why we are not on the state quarter. I always though 136 ran south from here down the state line and out of the mountains, but looking now, it looks like its mostly east, back in to the mountains. Maybe I need to get on the bike an ride the length of it sometime.
I’ve ridden Ga Hwy 136 from Dawsonville west to LaFayette, GA. It’s just a great country road and does go through some nice mountains close to my house. I think it continues on into Alabama but the route number changes. To the east it ends around Lake Lanier east of Dawsonville.
@@GARamblinMan When 135 crosses in to Al it becomes AL 71. Two miles later it T junctions at another road. Going left on that road becomes AL 71, but 71 only lasts 30 miles total ending in Section AL. My dad live on 71 so I ride it a good bit. Lots of hills an turns so it would be a good ride if not for all the trafic an blind driveways. LaFayette, GA is as far east as I have been on it, usually taking 27 south then 431 an 231 to Panama city. If you made it to LaFayette, GA you were two mountains shy of finishing the whole thing. Though you didnt miss much. Lookout Mtn is just after LaFeyette an is an OK ride across by Cloudland Canyon state park. Then its just traffic through trenton an up Sand Mtn to the state line.Lots of great riding around here as its the mountains. And 136 is good compared to flat land roads. But once you get to lookout, and especally Trenton, it becomes one of the straighter roads an the road everyone in the county is on trying to get somewhere. I try to avoid it on the bike. There are actual trafic jams on it on either side of Trenton twice a day. It can sometimes be backed up all the way through the city an up the side of the mountain. Just to many people trying to use the only main road at the same time. It looks like much more of a secondary road on your end.
I have a lot to learn about mounting positions and video editing but like I said, I’ll figure it out and hopefully have some great videos coming! Thanks for watching and commenting. Ride safe.
@@GARamblinMan I know you'll figure it out brother.... I hate learning new devices myself lol... But it's usually worth the time and troubles....good luck...you got this!!
Using multiple cameras is a little tricky and does take some editing time. I’m enjoying learning how to do all this. It’s a great hobby. Thanks for watching!
I use a couple of different programs. You have to use the Insta 360 Studio software to manipulate those files. I use Power Director to edit videos where I have multiple cameras. This software had a multi-camera feature that makes it easy to sync the audio and switch views between cameras. After I get the mp4 file done out of the Insta360 Studio and Power Director programs I use a program called Movavi to add the graphics and other final edits. It’s taken me a lot of years to get proficient at all this and I’m still learning! Thanks for the compliments and watching!
Love the new camera and your Heritage is looking great. How did you stream audio into the Insta 360 camera? and do you know if the Insta 360 editing software will run on an older IMac? Ride safe
The audio was through my GoPro Hero 8 mounted to my chin bar on my helmet and microphone routed from the camera into my helmet. I use a software editing program called Power Director to produce a single video with multiple cameras. The program lets you switch the views between cameras but keep the audio routed through one that you can choose. I always keep the audio on through my Hero 8. The software will sync the cameras so the sound and videos match. I know the Insta360 software will run on Apple Mac’s but not sure. Of the version I’m using and how old of a Mac it will support. You can probably find the answer on www.Insta360.com. Thanks for watching and ride safe!
