Riding Trail 30 - Top Trails Talladega Alabama 

Yeah its always changing with the rain and the seasons, thats what keeps it interesting. Glad you got out and was able to do some riding! And thanks for the feedback on the video, this video was my first attempt at making a "trail ride" video.

@@BCDriven good first shot. I hear all the time people complaining about how their video never does justice to the actual terrain. And it never will because video is 2D. But it helps being lower like yours or video hill climbs from the side more and make sure camera stays level. As a photographer the only advice I can give really for next one would be, try to create a sun shield over top of camera. These wide angle cameras are very prone to lens flare that can hurt the quality pretty bad. Think if an awning over the camera and play with size so that it’s as long as possible without showing in the top of frame. Just wanting to cast a shadow on the lens. A sunny day is great for us but rough on video LOL. Can’t wait to watch your next one. I enjoyed it

I love top trails but it can be a dust bowl sometimes. Its fun in the dry, a lot more challenging in the rain.

@@BCDriven , there was nobody there yesterday. I had zero dust to deal with.

@@MrDleverett nice bet you didnt have to deal with people parking in the trails either. Thats the best time to go

@@BCDriven , yes, I had it all to myself. I could see traffic being a problem on a busy Saturday. My home trail is Durhamtown that's all one way and very fast.

Id like to ride Durham town but its almost 4 hours away and its only about 15 minutes longer of a drive to go to Windrock so not likely Ill make it out there anytime soon lol

It's what we consider our local atv park even though were like 30 minutes from Stoney. We ride out there every now and again when we cant make a trip to Windrock. I'll put something on my insta when were going next. Its @BC_driven

@@GrimRZR Stoney is a great place lot's of different wheelin there. We rode there so much when we first got our rzr we kinda got burned out. I guess at the end of the day that's still a pretty good problem to have.

There Isn't much mud on 30 but watch out for the "go arounds" sometimes those mud holes are worse than the main trail

@@BCDriven 10 4,we got 1 on 29.5 ol2's with a 18 Maverick Trail & in in a 19 Maverick Sport on 33" Havocs,we're hopin we can eeeeeeeeease up & through.....getn ready to leave now.

@@BCDriven you were RIGHT,we didnt even ride 30,we were tryna find it while on trail 57 and it led us RIGHT to the MTN view....we found it on accident 😂.

Yeah it's got a couple fun spots to play around on but they all have bypasses now. We just went back and went up the other side of gents mountain on the old trail without bypasses and it was a bit of a challenge in the rzr.

BC Driven oh yea I’ve had a couple of problems on that side in a rzr as well spat me a good phone and a hurting shoulder thank god for safety harnesses

Yep pro armor harnesses were the first thing we put in ours. They've kept us nice and snug even when the rubber side goes up haha

Come on, our group are the ones climbing 5 hills not the ones at the bottom watching lol

Will be as soon as I get my rzr back from the dealer. My front diff started leaking after this ride so they're doing a seal kit in it. We dont live too far away so we ride there often.

@D King If you have experience driving and are comfortable with a sxs you should be able to handle it. There's some spots you will run out of ground clearance and bottom out but should be able to manage. There's "go arounds" for most of the hard parts anyways.

I would also add, no need to be a hero. If it feels sketchy hit the bypass and maybe dont go alone if it's your first ride on the machine. Top trails is a fun place and most of the park you'll be able to ride in even a stock ranger. Trail 30 is one of the "difficult" trails there.

Took a Polaris ranger all the way up and back down 30 and 57 both ways. It was dry and a very fun and hard ride. You have to have the lower side nerf bars or you would tear you ranger up!

Yes unfortunately top trails recently decided to limit park use to atvs and sxs. They actually have a 35" tire restriction, though I'm not sure they enforce it.

BC Driven they’ve changed it to 36” and they lift it on events but I’ve never seen it enforced

The ruts sadly make it dangerous in the ATVs. In some areas if they make an atv way around the SxS can do whatever. I've seen busted tires from the ruts and tip overs. They can't maintain some areas fast enough. Iron mountain now caters to jeeps and SxS mostly now and the trails suck ass on an atv now. Lol. I've mentioned ways to them to remedy some areas to no avail.
