I'm on the line with the X3. I have the X2 and slight difference in 360 video quality if I upload to YT. If the low lighting videos is better than the X2 than that may just push me over to buy it.
Yet again, another great video. I'm confused as to how you don't have more subscribers. Your videos are edited incredibly well, you are articulate and the topics are well thought out. p.s. I found the BMW S1000 RR lego set for a fraction of the original price. May buy it soon to assemble with my kids.
Honestly, credit to Apple. God's of marketing. They've convinced millions of people a feature is "new" when android has had it for like 7 years or that they aren't ripping people off every year.
Not worth the upgrade in my opinion if you have the insta one x2 .. might upgrade when the x4 or x5 comes out, that is usually the case when it comes to tech, if you dont need the latest and greatest it is worth the wait and skip a gen or two before upgrading
Maaan I just got my X2 not so long ago and I thought I wouldn’t be impressed with the X3. I was right on the hardware part not a big upgrade but the loop and pre record features would be awesome to have! And also they made it so much more expensive so I’m in no rush to get rid of my x2. Awesome video btw! From humid Malaysia
Hi, thanks for the review. Specifically I've got a couple of questions. 1. Do you have links to the various camera mounts pictured? 2. What sort of helmet 'mic' did you use to get audio?
I highly recommend the on-screen stats feature that requires the GPS remote. I am baffled why it’s not internal to the camera, since those components are tiny in smartphones.
Great review. That loop recording will be great for everyday commuting as a "dashcam". Unfortunately, not every country allows video footage of accidents to help out with insurance claims. The mic adapter is also great for vloggers. Go Pro haven't been doing their homework. 😜 Greetings from Portugal. ✌
Hey man I saw in your older smart carb video you're also from Joburg. I also have a yz250 but have trouble finding tracks and trails to ride. I'm wondering if you can help out with a few spots that'll maybe be nice to ride
How is the 360 mode regarding continuous recording? What kept me back from the x2 is that i think after 40secs or sg. it had a few seconds brake before starting the next session of 40 seconds, and in case sg. happens there then... tough luck. Correct me if I am wrong pls.
MAte My insta 36o x3 doesn turn on. I dont know what to do to solve it. Any solution? I was normaly filming and it stopped working. After that, it did not turn on again.
I'm quite disappointed that there is no screw-on lens protectors still... I'm using One X2 everyday as a dashcam on my bike and having to use the sticky lens really ruins the image quality, often gets moisture under and scratches very easily, then it's hard to replace. I will however upgrade soon, as that Q button is a deal breaker when you want to quickly change to 4k 60fps for those juicy corners. Then back to 360, amazing... and the price isn't that far off the X2 which is also great. The bigger screen for us bikers is another benefit, with the small one it was impossible to do anything while riding or with a glove on... hopefully this one's better. And yea, I wouldn't bother with the screen protector, my X2 is always pointing in the ride direction, so it's covered from any stones.
bigger sensor doesn't mean better quality. this is a common misconception. the biggest difference is how much light is picked up and how it fares in low light. bigger sensor, better light intake and wider pov.
WAY too much money for a camera to sit on my bike... Also not even available in SA, according to their website.... I'll stick with my ancient Hero 2 and 3 for now.
It had want to be way better than the X2. Quite a useless camera in a lot of situations. Unless you've got a perfect day out you're better off with a GoPro. Great video though!
lol android user here makes sense to me why most prefer ios but android has the extra features I do need, and the look of the galaxy watch suits me better.
Inferior Android? That's funny, Android can do everything faster and easier than an apple phone. Android can run emulators and you don't need apple snooping on all your music and image files.. Only uneducated ppl buy iphones.
