In order to gain widespread traction, it needs to have a ultra-cheap and simple to understand fare structure with no BS fees like no separate boarding charges or being charged for the time being struck in traffic, etc. Strictly rated by the distance at $0.50 per mile or so. Going to the neighborhood supermarket less than a mile away, $0.50. Going somewhere 10 miles away, $5.00, somewhere 20 miles away, $10.00. Ultra-low fares like this should be possible because you're eliminating the need for a salaried human driver. Find a way to make self driving pods the size of a motorcycle or a scooter that gets 80-100 MPG, it's quite possible to get it as low as $0.10 per mile or less.

I live in Phoenix Arizona I see these cars everywhere. How come you’re not in Phoenix Arizona the app is saying we’re not in Arizona yet but I see your car is here. lol I think these cars are really super cool. It would be cool if they can actually have people have cars you can buy that will drive you anywhere. I know they have Teslas but I don’t know if it will be exactly perfect like this waymo car because these cars are pretty cool they drive by themselves. I actually see these kind of cars everywhere everywhere I turn anywhere I’m at I see these cars they are every single street.

As great the self driving car is, I just don't think it's the right/future solution for solving transportation. What we need is fewer cars in general!
