Here is a realistic cost analysis using my daily routine in Los Angeles (15mi to work, 15mi back home).... $18 = My Silverado Truck = Gas, Insurance, Maintenance $100 = Waymo Ride $115 = Uber / Lyft Quite a big difference. This wont replace a daily commute, but its a great idea for getting around metro areas you dont know well, or going to a concert to avoid the nightmare of parking and parking fees, bar hopping, museum hopping, etc. I plan to try it out for the first time this weekend to hop around LA without the stress.
Two critical questions: does it handle roundabouts and priority to the right, give way for other vehicles oncoming from the right. I'm still not convinced. I still don't know Show us a video how it handles those two...they are quite common in Europe.

I dont trust it and ive seen them block traffic and just sit there. There is noone to tell them to move. Anyway ill still with real people, i care enough to trust people and to make sure people have a job.
I wonder if these would be safe on the freeway. I don't currently drive so I would love to take trips sometimes, but I'd be a little bit worried about going on the freeway with these cars.
Once Robotaxi begins to scale, is there any chance that Waymo focuses more development on camera-based vision and/or neural net replacement of control code?
