I have a kove 500x, that uses the exact same engine. I have done 50.000km in 3 years and i push it, cause i am always in a hurry (commuting to work and back through highways). I had zero problems, the engine is bulletproof and its' average consumption of 4-4.5l/100km reasonable. I have seen less than 3l/100km while doing 60-80km/h and up to 5,3l/100km, which i observed 2-up, while loaded with 3 cases and doing 140km/h+ against strong winds. If anyone feels worried about reliability, i can tell you that there is nothing to worry about with this engine. For the record, the rest of the motorcycle has been equally trouble-free and it sees daily use throughout the whole year.
Happy birthday, Smokey. So you could do the run-in on one tank of fuel, that's fantastic. For most people who don't need 160bhp, 50 is plenty, it didn't stall on the trail. You could either just fill the front, or rear, gas tank, or half fill both, that's brilliant 👏. The headlight looks good too. I waited for over an hour on a car park yesterday for my buddy to show, that big screen would have been great to watch RU-vid on to keep me entertained .. Great video as usual 👌 👍 👏 😀....
Not at all. The Transalp is lighter, more powerful and a lot more fun. Different class. Considering this, the Transalp is a bargain. Fantastic bike. And there is not the slightest doubt about Honda's reliability. In Europe Rieju will not come anywhere close to the Transalp's sales numbers with this model.
@@GCTO239Which Transalp is lighter? None from the specs that I have read. If you have never rode the Rieju how do you know the Honda is a lot more fun? Have you even rode the Honda? Do not forget that Rieju own Gas Gas so know a thing or two about off road bikes. Maybe try being a little bit more open minded
The screen display linked to your phone allows you to use your phones GPS and map app on the motorcycle. That is a good feature. No reason or need to buy a separate GPS unit. All TFT displays should have that feature.
One small info. The footpegs and the gear changer is made from billet. A company known to dirt riders for quality aftermarket parts for many many years. Sorry for my bad english :)
Agreed. The EU/UK A2 licensing rules have really ruined the 500cc class. One of my first bikes was a Kawasaki GPZ500. It was the fastest of the 500cc parallel twins and made around 60hp. Now 500cc bikes are neutered to below 47hp or less just to incase someone with an A2 licence wants to buy one.
@@defylifeadventure Why they can't sell limited versions to A2 riders and offer opened ones for A category riders? With that capacity and today tech, we can have 65hp from that engine....
@@CptSlow89 I've got no idea, that is what Triumph did with the tiger 900 (before the power update), and KTM even had a special slightly lower powered engine in the 890 adventure L that could be restricted for A2 use.
happy birthday smokey ! This bike has my interest it really does and i look forward to seeing this in the new version so i can decide to buy or not, we know this is a super reliable engine, adjustable suspension (others take note FFS), it is a good looker, huge range and covered in protection from the shop - what more could we ask? Please get the Kove 800x and 500 and the CFmoto 800 and 450 when you can.
Happy birthday Smokey. I would be happier if when doing these test of Chinese and bikes of other manufacturers, You could add two more things to your reviews. First one: is the engine tending to overheat excesively, and secondly: what are the service intervals compared to the the bigger brands. I can imagine that the answers to these questions, for some could be a deal breaker
Feliz cumpleaños desde España, me ha gustado mucho la prueba. Ya tiene un suscriptor nuevo y pondré el video en un foro de rieju España. Saludos desde Sitges, Barcelona.
Absolute beast. I dream to buy one, unfortunately is not elegible in Italy. Dunno why really.. Seems more because it disrupt the market. This bike, at this Price
Merry Christmas mate , and happy birthday. How blood come you have illuminated switched gear and the latest GSA still hasn’t incredible bike value for money.carl uk 🇬🇧 7:47
Watching RU-vid is nice. But is it possible to use Google Maps on the screen? Would be nice so you dont need an extra navigation system. Nice bike. I am very interested.
Screen mirroring means everything on your phone will be on the screen 😁. But it's illegal and I should not have shown that option. They are working on fixing the RU-vid and Netflix part 🙈
@@LifeofSmokey hell yeah!! i am really looking forward to this specific one. i have a KTM 1290 super adventure S model that i do slight offroad and i like it so much but i m looking to get a smaller one just for offroad and the cfmoto 450MT, as soon as i saw it and the price here in belgium...oh man i think i ll have two bikes starting this year...

190kg dry and with a lot of scope to reduce weight if the owner wants. The bike comes with 13kg of add-ons that are included in that weight. Also dual front discs. Going down to a single would save nearly 5kg, the swapping out the battery, another 2.5kg, pillion pegs (if not taking a pillion, is another 1kg. So that's over 20kg weight reduction without even trying, which makes it lighter than the new CF Moto 450MT. Probably about the same weight if don't similar things to the CF Moto. Personally, I'd like to see longer travel suspension, and those blue backlights are hideous. It's also a little expensive in Spain.
@@BoogieBubblea little cheaper. We pay €7.499 but then you guys get the CF Moto 450MT for €500 less than us. I think at €6.499 the Rieju sells well, but at €7.499 it's only going to appear to those who can really make use of the extra features, and that's not many of those people prefer something lighter.
