I really hate musical snobs, i couldn't care less if it's screaming or not To me it's an amazing performance because she managed to capture all the humor and frustrations of the character perfectly in one line. Y'all need to check your priorities if you're still debating what is singing and what is yelling, this is acting and she did a darn incredible job of it

for me she is not a great singer...like I felt she struggle singing higher pitch in this is me....

Up the octave ? All i hear is some unpitched stridently shrill screaming. And the character has become such a pantomime over-the-top parody, now, just aimed at chasing after a cheap laugh; a far cry from the poignant, razor-sharp and sarcastically understated performance that Susan Jane Tanner (the original Madame T.) had achieved. The laughter she got was a nervous, uncomfortably close to the bone reaction that entertained, but made you ponder at a deeper level. The only level of this is cheap, lavatorial and desperate. With terrible "singing" to boot. IMO
